LAY 22:12                                                 17th

Lay walked in the dark alley, he had his bike with him. Time was something he tried to ignore, in order to not get frustrated at absurdness of his situation. He never carried around a watch, unlike his friend, Chanyeol, whom almost always had one on him. He wondered where is he right now? Was he alive? Did he do something stupid that got him killed? He shook his head clearing his mind hell have to find out once he gets found.

He secured his bike, and made his way inside the darkened internet cafe. The owner was dozing off on one of the tables with a mop in between his hands. He gently shook him awake.

"Sir you shouldn't sleep with the door unlocked, it isn't safe." The old man nodded his head and went to the kitchen to make him tea.

Lay made his way around the tables and sat himself on one. As he got comfortable he plugged in his headphones, accidently glancing at the time stamp on his phone, 22:07. He sighed under his breath. He unpaused his music. The owner came with his tea, as he set it down, he yawned.

"Sir you can rest, I'll only be here for a few minutes."he suggested

"Oh thank young man I haven't sat down since the morning." he took up his offer and made his way back in the kitchen. Lay unlocked his phone and wrote a few lyrics. He usually did them in chinese but he had recently listened to english music so he felt inspired by the lyrics. 'You are my sunshine'. 'I need you'. 'You are the one'.

That made him think. The girl that's supposed to find him later, does he know her? How will he know its her? What happens when she finds him? He didn't like unanswered questions, so he distracted himself. He started writing more.

It was late. It surprised him when someone came through the door and sat down at one of the tables. His shock doubled when he saw that she was a girl. It's not safe for a girl to walk alone at night. He disapproved in his head but didn't voice it. He went back to his business.

Not even a minute later, the lights flickered, his music stopped and was replaced by the irritating static and his phone shut off. He jumped back in surprise looking around. He made eye contact with the girl that was staring at him.

At first, she was lost. Truly lost. There are too many internet cafes in Yunnan, how was she supposed to find him? She watched the pathcode teaser like a million times before she was able to get something useful out of it.

She arrived in front of the cafe and a dead plant is the first thing she notices. She gets in and notices the same thing. She thought it was weird, his powers were healing, but then again he lost them and she had it. The power source was safely hidden in her sweatshirt pocket in between her cozy and warm fingers. The night was cold no doubt, but with her nerves and the stick giving of warmth, her fingers were comfortable but her toes were frozen though.

He was the only one in there, he looked up in surprise before he went back to his business. She tilted her head, doesn't he know its time? she made her way to sit a few tables in front of him. As she sat down she noticed how on every table, there was a vase with plants in it, most were dead but they were still there.

She checked her watch, 22:11. It's time, she looked up and watched him. The lights flickered and a few seconds later he jumps backwards and in surprise and catches her gaze on him. She felt uncomfortable. She shifted in her seat, she pulled out the lightstick from her pocket.

He stumbled a bit but regained his balance, he wasn't expecting so much energy to hit him with so much force. He felt like he was watered and was living again, instead of the horrible nothingness. He represents the life of a plant, he has to be nourished and taken care of or else he'll die. But in this case it's much worse. But he never complains. He deals and tries to find other solutions.
