It wasn't very fun being there in the chamber. The woman I showed up was pouting in the corner with another girl. I stood up trying to ignored my stomach. I was so hungry. I felt defeated almost. Like I would never have a life as a Kaleesh again. Just a trophy, slave to do what someone else wanted. I placed my hands on the wall and lowered my head. My tail dragged behind me, lifeless. I missed my family, my life. I missed my world.. Mostly I missed Qymaen.
The door opened and a man you haven't met before came in. He looked at you. I lifted my head just enough to see his face. "Ladies it's time to get ready for your time to shine. I know being a slave may seem to be a bad thing but I assure you. The more beautiful you look and outgoing attitude can pay off. Now follow me. In a line. One by one. We will get you some food and you can get cleaned up for the most part." His voice trailed off at the sight of the bruised woman in the corner. "Ok come along." He turned and started out. I was the first to walk. He had me at food. Didn't care what it was I needed energy.
He lead the line toward a hallway to another room. This room had several tables with some what looked like old bread. It didn't matter. I trotted over and grabbed a large loaf and crammed it into my face. I didn't care. It's been 2 maybe 3 days with no food. I was so weak. The man chuckled before walking over and tapping my shoulder. I looked at him thinking I was in trouble. No he offered me some water. I bowed with respect before taking it and gulping it down. "You really are the real deal. The other men where didn't believe it either. That a Royal Kaleesh was here." He seemed young and curious also. He watched me place the little bread that was left back down on a plate. I waved my hands around him. Energy and glow of blue came around him. My spirit was not very vibrant but it would do. The dust landed down on the man . He smiled and laughed. "What an amazing thing." He chuckled.
"You will be blessed with good fortune. Use the luck given you wisely. It will bless you well." It was something you haven't done in a while. Wanting to do something for others is your man goal. Help others. You picked back up your bread and finished it off almost instantly. You where unsure if you would have another chance to get food in the near future. The man let everyone eat and drink for a few minutes before he continued with his talk. "Ok now that everyone has at something I want to tell you that there is extra robes and a few salvaged dress thrown behind that curtain.you have 30 mins to get everything together before auction time. I will return when your up. Again think not this as something bad. It's just the beginning!"
I couldn't take him seriously with this pep talk. But I nodded and walked behind the certain. It was a sad selection of clothing. But anyone would have thought this if they where given the very best always. I walked over to a small sink and washed my face. Looking up into the mirror that looked like it came out of some abandoned building years past, I saw myself. Drained, exhausted, I looked beaten. This wasn't me. I needed to straighten up. I took a deep breath and pushed my powers onto myself. Blue swirled to purple, then pink, then finally golden yellow. The swirl stopped as gold dust dropped on my skin. My eyes where perfect with no marks. I was full of life now. I had hope.
Stepping away from the mirror I dug threw the cloths and found a golden cloth. It would do. I ripped it in half and replaced my very dirty clothing. One wrapped my waist and one over my bread. I didn't have enough to cover anything else. So my stomach showed. It didn't matter my body was slender build Kaleesh anyways. I hand enough to have a somewhat long side skirt that looked cute.
I was ready. I walked out and took another drink of water before waiting on the man to come back. I was the first to be ready. I sat down on a crate. My tail pulled up on my lap. I looked down at the end of my tail. It was one of my favorite things was my feather type tips of my tail. They are across between thorns, feathers and spikes. I had 2 sets of them. One at the end of my tail and one about 8 inches above that. Between them was something special. Irreplaceable. A bracelet style piece. It should be on someone's wrist but I decided I had a better place to put it. It was made of rope and select plants from Kalee. In the middle of it was a pearl. I smiled as I thought of how it became mine.
