Juan Yeon's POV
" Thanks for apologizing Jimin... and I'm sorry that I didn't have the same feelings for you...." I said. My heart tore into a million pieces. " I really wished I did, but... after my first experience liking someone... I just... I don't know what to believe anymore..." Jimin gave me a sympathetic smile and hugged me.I hugged back and smiled again. " Anyways, what was the thing you wanted to tell me?" Jimin asked, changing the topic. " Uh... I'll save it for another time." I replied looking down. " Why not now?" he asked.I smiled and said," No, not today..."I suddenly opened my eyes. I was panting, and sweating and shook. Thank god that was just a dream. Seeing Jiminnie sad was absolutely the worst thing ever. He locks himself in his room and eats chips 24/7. He watches movies and sleep. For a month. Before he comes out from his room. I checked the clock. "6:59" it read, in a big neon green font. The alarm was going to go off soon, so i decided I could get one more precious minute of sleep. I closed my eyes and got cozy. I was about to drift off into sleep until...
~the duck goes quack quack quack~
I slammed the alarm button and stretched. I groaned, while thinking why a minute was so fast. I slowly got off the bed and grabbed my phone. I scrolled though my feed, looking at memes, dogs, quotes and posts from friends. I was casually scrolling through Jimin's new posts, when I realised,' Holy shiteu, he has so many likes, and he only posted it a few minutes ago. How the heck is this boy so famous. I mean, well yeah, he is one of the popular people in my school, but still.' I decided to stop looking through Instagram and get ready. I wore an over-sized pastel green sweater and some tights, which made me look like a small person. I wore my huge round glasses,( which looked like Harry Potter's) and combed my shoulder-length black hair.
I went downstairs and greeted my only family. "Hi, eomma, hi Juan Min," My mother gave me a heartwarming smile while my brother just waved, his eyes never off his phone. I miss the times where he would give me a hug and say good morning in a cheerful voice. But that was the past. I ignored the thought and grabbed a serving of white rice and my mum's homemade pungent kimchi. I sat down on the table while we ate in an awkward kind of silence. My mother looked as if she wanted to start a conversation, but she shut her mouth whenever she was about to. My brother put his half eaten serving in the sink, grabbed his bag and headed off. " Eomma, why is Juan Min acting like that?" I asked her. She sighed and said in a soft, barely audible voice," He had changed. We can't do anything about it. At least... at least we still have each other."She gave me a bright smile and caressed my hand.
I would never want to leave my mother like my brother. She was way too precious.
After I finished my food, I washed the dishes and put on my converse. " Bye, eomma. I'll be going to Ji Hee's house after school today."I said as I hugged her. I hopped on my bicycle and headed for school.
Ji Hee and Mina said I didn't have to stop by their houses, as Ji Hee's parents and Mina's brother are driving them to school today. I arrived to school earlier than usual. I walked to my locker, but Jimin, Bangtan, Mina and Ji Hee weren't here yet. I decided to text Jimin first.
A few minutes later, I felt a pair of warm arms sneaked around my waist and pull me into a back hug. I gasped and turned around to see Jimin, his hands letting go of me. "Hello, there."I say greeting him. "Hi."He replied smiling happily. I noticed his eyes going across my body. I shot him a confused glare, which he just chuckled to. " You are wearing my sweater." He stated. I look down and realized I was. " I'm only wearing it because you gave it to me."I pointed out. " I didn't give it to you. I simply just left it in your house after we played video games."He replied. I pushed him playfully and said,'Well, you lost it, and I found it. So it's mine." He smirked and said," It can barely fit you. You look tiny. Wait, you are tiny." I almost laughed when he said that. He was the smallest mochi in Bangtan, yet he called me tiny. Mina came with Ji Hee, after Bangtan. I greeted them happily. Maybe this day would be good.
But that was before Kim Taehyung walked into the room, ignoring the many girls (and boys) staring at him dreamily. Ew. I must admit, he was never bad looking, but you just couldn't trust him. I believed in him once, but now...I don't know what to think anymore.
