Day One

10:32am

Evan POV

"What was I thinking? I'm such an idiot.." I silently said to myself while waiting outside the doctors office.

I played back that scene in my head about 10 times, and each time the guilt in my gut grew.

I became extremely anxious, and wanting to make sure that blue guy wasn't blind forever. Now all I can do is wait.

Wait for him to be furious with me for doing such a stupid thing.

Wait for the doctor to come back saying his eye has been injured far worse than fixing.

Wait for the guilt to punch him in the face.

Guilt is inevitable.

While watching the fish I heard the doctor come out of his room.

I jogged over to him.

"Hey, I'm the guy who shot him in the eye.

It was a total accident, and I take full responsiblilty for whatever expenses he has to pay. Is-is he okay?"

The doctor just put his clipboard away, and laughed.

"He's going to be just fine. I assure you the blindess is only temporary. He'll see perfectly in that eye in about say..

a couple days?" he told me.

"Oh alright-um-can I see him?" I requestioned.

"Of course, that other man is with him also. Just a heads up." He said.

"O-okay thank you so much, Doctor." I thanked him, and headed right for his door.

Jonathan POV

Bryce and I were talking about my Jeep more, when somebody else-not the doctor-entered the room.

"Um.. hey, Ghost." Bryce said, seeming slightly agitated that "Ghost" showed up.

"H-hey, look-dude.. I totally didn't mean to hit you in the eye. I was just aiming for-yknow anything I guess.

What I'm trying to say is I'm really sorry about it.

If you have anything you have to pay for-expenses, doctor bills I can pay-"

I cut Ghost off with a "I understand, it's no problem." Even though Bryce gave me a I-would-have-made-his-butt-pay look.

Which I didn't respond to.

"A-are you sure? I can handle it financially-" I cut him off once more.

"Trust me, you apoligized, that's all that matters.

I'll be fine in a day or two. I don't need your money, dude." I stated.

"Okay, well.. at least let me get you something to eat. It's almost lunchtime. Does McDonalds sound good?" asked Ghost.

"It sounds so good. Mmm.. fooooood." I laughed, and he joined in. Bryce only gave me a sad smile, and got up.

"I'm gonna go Peirce. If you need help, just call. You got my number. Cya, dude." He waved, and left the room.

It was tranquil for just a couple of moments before the silence was broken.

"Peirce? Is that your callsign?" asked Ghost.

"Yeah.. Bryce kind of gave it to me." I answered.

"I see. Bryce is quite the character isn't he.." Ghost shifted his gaze outside.

I just now saw it had started to rain, and enourmus grey clouds had began to hover over the town.

"We might have to take a rain check on McD's. If this rain doesn't check-out." Ghost said, while laughing at his pun.

Soon I joined in on the laughter, glancing at him taking note of his face features.

He had a sharp jaw-line, spiked up black hair(into a short mowhawk), and the most caramel-brown eyes he'd ever seen.

"What's your name? I mean your real one." I questioned.

"Evan, pleasure to meet you. Well.. sort of." He chuckled.

"Jonathan, it could've been better, but like Pumbaa and Timon always said, Hakuna Matata." I quoted.

We stared at eachother for a second until the both of us burst into laughter, probably making the other patients unhappy.

We shushed ourselves, and headed out of the hospital.

I did need him to guide me to his car, but after a while my eye adjusted so I could see much better out of it.

Once we got back to Mislim, the storm was getting pretty out of hand.

Evan offered to give me a ride home, but I denied the offer.

I wanted to make sure my Jeep was safe, and it definetly wasn't outside.

I got into my Black (now super soaked) Jeep, and waved to Evan as he drove away.

I guess it takes something bad, to start something better.
