The three of us run. It's the only option if we don't we will be killed. They're after us. I notice a path into the forest, and we turn and head there. It's safer, where we're less likely to be caught. If we get caught, we die.
Maybe the forest was a bad idea, because I trip on a fallen log, and fall myself. One of the others helps me up, and we start running again, but now the Blodjegers are getting closer to us.
The one that helped me up after I fell, starts to run in a different direction.
"Stay straight! I'm leading them off of your trail! Don't follow me!" The person call.
I stop. The Blodjegers have stopped running after us, and started following the other. The Blodjegers catch up to the one that is separated. Then one of them pulls out a gun.
She aims.
She fires.
The other one screams.
They fall.
I scream.
I run.
There's blood everywhere.
They're almost dead.
I recognize the shooter.

Announcement:
There are two people writing this book! And it is our first time writing one together though. The inspiration for this book was from a term found in a social textbook 'blood oil'
The prologue might be confusing because we have not given any names yet because we don't want it to spoil. We promise it will be less confusing once there are names, and we can give for detail and the background knowledge of the book is understood.
Thanks for reading!
