We all sit down to eat our diner. Just as we start. Noah's phone rings.
"Sorry guys, it's Isabelle. Can I take this?"
William grunts.
"Go ahead, Avery," he mutters.
They have a lengthy conversation resulting in Noah ditching us.
"Sorry guys. Izzy isn't feeling well, she's throwing up she says, and wants me there. Thanks for dinner anyways Will, but I'll be eating with Izzy," he says and leaves us.
"I hate her! I hate Isabelle! Why does he even like her? She's so controlling and doesn't let him see us very often! And we're his family! I mean, what if I end up being killed for my blood anyways? I'm Mixed! It could happen at any time, and he could be locking lips with that brat! And what if you're a Rare? Huh? Then he will miss the last goodbye party for the Rares because 'Izzy needs him'!" Willy yells out. I understand his frustration but we have to trust that Noah knows what he's doing.
Or at least trust that he'll learn from his mistakes.
"Willy, it probably won't last forever. Let's deal with it for now, and be supportive of him. Weather they break up or continue their relationship, we're his family. For now let's wait and see what happens."
We finish our meal in silence.
The days have been going by fast. Only three days until our fates are decided. Willy and I are going to the market together, and he gets a couple days off of work to spend with me, in case things turn out bad.
"What shop first?" He asks me.
"Obviously wherever there are books. Where else would we go?" I love books, they're my escape from reality, where I can live in a fantasy where everyone gets their happy ending.
"No. No more books. What am I supposed to do if things don't turn out next week? Then I'll have stacks of your unread books taunting me," he adds sadly. "And besides, you need to spend time with me. Not with a book."
He's right. We walk into the first clothing shop we see, but I trip as we enter the store. No- I get tripped.
"Oops, sorry darling. I didn't see you there. I would help you up but I have too many bags in my hands."
I look to see a pair of tall heels in front of me, supporting a pair of long tan legs with cut off shorts. A cropped shirt shows off a perfectly toned and flat stomach. Long blond hair with perfect ends hang down just past her waistline. I connect with a pair of icy blue eyes. It's Isabelle, and she tripped me.
"Isabelle, you tripped her. Why would you do that?" William yells at her.
"Why would I do that? I have the money to pay others to do that for me," she smirks as Willy helps me up.
"Look, Isabelle, we're not just puppets you can push around. You're not the only one who's close to Noah. In fact, we've known him longer than you have. We could easily make you go from girlfriend to ex if we want to quit the act. Okay, darling?" I say with a sweet grin on my face. I know it's a lie, because if Willy and I had the power to break them up Isabelle would have been an ex a long time ago. But it seems to work and she walks away, giving us a hair flick as she passes us.
"I wish we could make her into an ex," William says.
"Ya-" I'm cut off before I finish.
"Let's follow her! We can see what kind of scheme she's pulling!" William says.
"Scheme, Willy? I think she's more interested in her shopping."
"Come on, Autumn, let's go!" He grabs my arm and drags me, and we follow Isabelle.
