I sat in my swivel chair, thinking which case I should do next when I heard an obnoxious voice.
"Baby! Don't take too long!"
"Don't worry! It won't take long!" A familiar voice shouted, sending tingles through my body.
A handsome man came.
He sniffed the air and looked straight into my eyes.
His bright blue eyes shined. He quickly snapped out of it and shook his head. He walked forward and laid an envelope on my counter. I reached for it but was stopped by his hand.
I gasped at his touch.
Sparks shot up my arm.
"Not now, we need to talk." He said in his beautiful voice. Could he be?
"Xavier! What's taking you so long? I miss you." The obnoxious voice came back. She whined and I winced. They seemed to be in some sort of relationship.
"Your boyfriend and I need to discuss some important things." I quickly made up an excuse. The girl nodded eagerly. I walked into my back room.
"I don't need or want you. I Xavier-"
