Machines were beeping and whirring as I tried to open my eyes, but i couldnt find the strength to move anything. I gave up and instead focused on trying to use my other senses to find out where I was and what was going on around me.
Alright.. scent. The room smelt like disinfectant and soap, with a small hint of lavender and rosemary, wavering in and out through the cleanliness of the rest of the room.
Sound. Over the rhythmic beeping and whirring that was coming from the machines somewhere to her right, she could hear muffled voices and footsteps coming from her left, seemingly blocked by something, maybe a wall or a door.
Well, i guess sight, touch and taste are out of the question. Where am I?
I groaned, unable to move anything or speak a word, I tried to relax until someone came.
After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door swing open, the voices outside briefly louder before the door closed again, leaving her in silence, aside from the softened footsteps coming up to her side.
"Good morning Ms. Colwaer. Now, you may feel some discomfort and inability to move, this is due to anti-inflammatory and heavy pain killers we had to administer to you. It is good to see you are awake, you had us worried."
I forced myself to try harder and I managed to flutter my eyes, and the doctor reacted by giving an impressed grunt.
"Thats not bad for just waking up, only a few more hours before you should be able to function fully again. The nurse should come in regularly to check on you, so you should be ok."
I heard the doctors footsteps as he walked to where I assumed the door was, and they began to fade as he opened the door and left, leaving me in isolation again.

"Hey there Marmite, how are you doing?"
I jolted awake at the sound of a voice by my side, my eyes slowly opened, the light flooding in and waking me wince in pain. I raised my arms up to my face, to try and protect my sensitive eyes from the blinding artifical lights above me.
As my eyes adjusted to the light I look towards where the voice came from and i saw a fuzzy version of someone by my side. The room was white and clinical, definitely a hospital room. As the shapes became more clear, the person by my side was no other then Alexander, I was glad to see his face, as i grew tired again.
I yawned and smiled, happy that I was ok, but I had no idea what happened and how long I was out, until Alex spoke again, this time on his phone to someone I didnt recognise.
"Yeah, she's ok, I know I know, its been three days but she's fine I promise. Ok yeah. Bye."
He hung up just as i was ready to fall back asleep, He leant over and held my paw in his hoof, helping me relax further.
"Get some rest. I'll be here when you wake up, I promise."
