                          #Chapter 2: A sudden interest.

               Last fall….

       “Pretty please? Ms. Delvis?”

“I’m very sorry Ms. Anderson, but I’m afraid that this is against the school rules.”

“C’mon, Ms.Delvis. Rules can be change. I am always the top in your class and I promise I will continue to be, please give me a chance? Besides, you know you’re mine all-time favorite teacher.”

“I believe that bribery is against the school rule too, Ms. Anderson.”

“Ms.Delvis, it isn’t that hard to put him my lab partner.” I put on my best puppy eyes.

“Alright, Ms.Anderson, I’ll see what I can do with Mr. Neville”

Putting on my best smile, I pop down on my seat next to Andrew.

“Hey” I said cheerfully. But instead of facing Andrew’s sky blue eyes that always seem to be hidden behind his black frame, I find myself staring at his messy blond hair. I wait for him to turn around, but he never did.

“Hey” I tried again, louder this time. No luck.

What’s his problem?”  I’m getting impatience. I stood up a little and revert my view with his. Looking at what he was basically drooling to. Bekka collins. She was laughing along to some jokes that her best friend, Louise Macadam, had said. Dressed in a red tight dress that hug her every curve, her straight blond hair flows down her huge rack.  It was ridiculous. I mean, who dress like that to school? I have just the word for her.Slut. If Tori were here, she would have agreed with me.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate her because she is my crush’s crush, although obviously that’s one of the reasons, but because she’s a MEGA bitch. Her hair is what people are all very jealous about, it’s long and straight with a colour that shone like gold.  Sadly, in lots of people eyes, she is a pretty little lady that unfortunately has a poor academic. A lot of people actually respect her, but to me, they are just a bunch of stupid followers. With those acting skills of hers she should sign up for the dramatic arts club. Which, as a matter of fact, she is in.

“Good morning class” Ms Delvis came in and all attention was turned to her. She looked at me immediately with a questioning look.  I wanted to tell her very much that putting me with Andrew doesn’t make much difference if she is going to put Bekka Collins in the next table. But she did fulfill my request, and so I pull out my biggest smile for her.

“As you guys can see, I’ve arranged your partner this year, because when we, teachers let you guys choose last year, it became a total disaster.”

Blah blah blah. Ms. Delvis began to talk about the differences between alkali metals and noble gases in the periodic table. Who cares? I know all the differences already. The reactivity level of the alkali metals goes higher as we progresses downward the periodic table although the boiling/melting point gets lower. The exact opposite applied to the noble gases. So instead of listening to Lithium and Argon, I put my full attention to Andrew.

“hey” I tried again

“Oh hey Beatrice” finally.

“ you can call me Tris.” I giggle. I should really stop it, I sound like a freaking monkey.
