Trouble with kids

I woke up realising I just fixed a father-son relationship and its morning just now.

I turned finding Mike not by my side.

I got out of bed and went to shower.

I quickly walked to the kids room and found Mike brushing Miya,one of his daughters hair

"ERM Mike maybe I can help with that" I said

He stopped and looked at me gesturing me to take over

I sat behind her brushing her now spoilt hair thanks to Mike.

I was really nervous because I thought they wouldn't like me so I decided to start up a conversation

"So,Maya are you excited about your birthday" I said to the other one putting on her tie

"Yes I am .Dad is gonna buy me a dollhouse" she said excited

"Well what do you want me to get you" I said still brushing

"Hmmmmm" she thought"I want five chocolate bars"she ended

"OK I'll be sure to get them for you"

"There Miya,your hair is done" I said with her smiling.Then she run of to get ready

After a while of silence I realised Derek my son wasn't in the room

"Have you seen Derek anywhere?" I asked the girls

"No we haven't" Maya answered

"DEREK!!!!!" I voice shouted from the living room

I quickly got out and went to see what that troublesome boy was doing this time

As I stepped foot in the living room I saw Derek running around in his underwear

And the person who shouted was none other than Diana

"Michelle control this son of yours" she said walking towards me

"Derek stop running" I said trying to catch him

I finally caught him and gave him a scolding

"Now go to your room and change for school,you're already getting late" I said to him as he run to his room sad

Something in me wanted to punch me.I've never scolded him and I never wanted to

Within a few minutes Derek came out in his school uniform

"So is everyone ready" Mike said

"Yes" the children shouted

"Wait,the children go to different schools so how can we drop everyone in time"Diana said

" Oh its true"Mike said

"Well Derek's school is not far from here so let's drop him and later Maya and Miya will be dropped" I added

"But if we drop Derek first the girls would be late" Diana said

"Let's just drop the girls first then Derek"

At that point I just gave up because I didn't want to start a fight or something so I said,"OK then let the girls go and I will try and send Derek"

"But all the cars are used so how will you drop him" Mike said

"Don't worry,I know what to do"

As the girls went Derek and I walked outside thinking of way to get him to school

"Mom how will I get to school,I'm going to be late" Derek said

As I glanced at the big garden I saw a motorcycle from a distance.

"Derek we are going to be riding a motorcycle to school"
