Ella was biting her nails. She had arrived at the park a full hour before they were supposed to meet with Dorian. She let the boys play, not telling them what they were doing in this small town. Maybe he wasn't coming, maybe it would only make things worse between them. Ella was watching her moonbeams on the swings, her heart full of love. She could feel him stronger than ever before. Her vampire senses were on high alert, ready for any danger. She had remembered the night she was turned, wiping away the tears before they could be noticed by the humans at the park. Everything had changed in this little town.
Suddenly, she smelt him. He was close, very close. As Ella looked at her boys, took a calming breathe, he arrived behind her.
"Hello, Dorian," she whispered.

Dorian had sat in the car for half an hour. He knew she was already at the park, by the playground. Once he got out of the car, he could smell her mixed scent and it hit him like a ton of bricks. His wolf went insane, wanting to hold her again. Dorian pushed all loving feelings down, she didn't deserve any of them. He walked over to the playground and stood behind her. She looked amazing, her hair had grown several inches longer and it was reflecting the sunlight, making her look like an angel.
"Hello, Dorian," she whispered and it took a lot of his strength to not walk over to her. His wolf was straining to hold her.
"Ella," he replied curtly. He had every intention to be as cold as possible towards her, but as soon as she turned around and faced him, his mind went blank. She looked just like the day she left, vampire immortality keeping her forever frozen in time. Another reason for him to free himself of her. "You called and I came. How can I help you?"
"Well, firstly, let me say that I wish I didn't have to do this to you. I am so sorry I have put you in this position. Not a single day goes by when I don't miss you and regret everything that happened between us. I know I have no right to ask anything from you and that you are doing me a great kindness by even being here. I came..." Ella tried to ramble her way through to the reason she was standing before him, but Dorian didn't have the patience for it.
"Spit it out! Why are you here and what do you want from me?" he yelled. People stared at them, but Dorian didn't care. Two little boys looked at him with anger in their clear blue eyes. They were obviously identical twins, maybe around three years old. That's when Dorian noticed their scent, or rather the lack of it. There was something off about those boys.

Ella followed Dorian's gaze and saw that he was staring at Dylan and Daniel.
"I'm sorry," she whispered again. "Boys, come here!" she called to the kids using their telepathic abilities. Instantly, they were besides her. Dorian was shook and confused.
"What? How? What is going on here?" he demanded. Ella looked into his eyes, wishing he could just understand and that she didn't have to explain anything to him.
She crouched down between the boys, "This is your daddy. He doesn't know about you, so he might be a bit scared. Don't worry though, he's going to love you," she told them through the link. As she stood up once again, she locked eyes with Dorian.
"I know you are going to hate me after I tell you this, but they need your help. Dorian, I'd like you to meet Dylan and Daniel, our sons."
***
Dorian looked into his mate's eyes, confused. He was sure he had misheard her. Did she really just tell him they have kids? He looked back down at the boys and instantly his wolf recognized them as his. They were his pups, he had two sons. Two sons he knew nothing about. He was angry, he was happy. He was so confused that he needed to sit down.
