                                                                            September 20, 1692

                                                                                    Cold Night

                                                                                    Cemetery

Death Toll: twenty-five hung, eighty-seven died in prison, three crushed to death, and fifty died of other means. No one can tell the amount of heartache and suffering the people of Salem had to bear, and here, is one in particular.

Girl: *crying* Mom.... u-*sob*-youwere *sniff*innocent! -falls on grave-... That's it....*sob* I can't-I-I can't keep... -dries tears- No more lies.... I will tell everyone, even if they d-d-don't  *hick* believ-ev-e me...

-two days later-

The mysterious girl walks from her empty home to the court. Since she is a young female at that time, the males and adults look down upon her. Especially because of her parents supposed crimes.

During the middle of a hearing the girl slams open the doors. She walked in during the verdict of another accused witch.

Judge: Sarah Osburn, I find you guilty of witchcraft, and you are to be hung at-

Girl: STOP!

Judge: Sorry miss, but if you are here to present more evidence it is unnecessary..

Crowd:-dead silent-

Girl: No, I assure you this is very necessary. The judge leans toward her. All of the accusations, *tears up*  t-they, are... lies.... *cries*

Crowd:-Gasp-

Judge: And how, young miss, do you prove this.

Girl: It's the doctor. All of it was his idea... my mom was sick and he said if I agreed to help him he would take care of her for free. I don't know what he offered everyone else, and I don't know if  other people were daft enough to believe the propaganda.... and-and *sniff* I never thought my actions would lead to her death... *sniffle* Everyone is silent not knowing how to respond..

Judge: You really expect us to believe you? You don-

Woman: I-I lied as well.... -clasps hands together-

Man: H-he said he would help my wife... -looks down-

Child: I miss my mommy *cries*....

Judge: -Speechless-

Mother: He told me it was Tituba's fault that my child was so ill. -looks away-

All that day people confessed of the doctors acts. Some were minor, well others were worthy of the death penalty, and when word of this got to the governor of Salem. The governor disbanded the Court of Oyer and Terminer, and did all he could to repay the victims of the false accusations...
