Part 17 Wake

Seung Hyun and JiYeon both sat at their seats. Pretty much stunned by everything that was happening.

Should we report this to someone? The office should be open.

JiYeon asked, her eyes still scanning the surroundings. Seung Hyun stood up and sighed.

Probably...

JiYeon shrugged and followed him out of the class. They made their way to the office with the hundreds of pieces of poster pasted everywhere. The office had a few posters glued to the doors too.

Seung Hyun sighed and pushed the glass door open. It was 7:30am and the principal was already in school. Great. The two knocked on the door as the peeped in through the little window at the side of the door.

Come in!

The principal shouted from inside. Seung Hyun pushed the door open slowly. He turned around to signal for JiYeon to stay outside. JiYeon stepped aside and let Seung Hyun make his way in.

Good morning ma'am.

Seung Hyun mumbled and stood in front of her desk with his hands behind his back. The principal was frowning. She sighed and put down the folder and looked up at Seung Hyun.

Oh, you're Choi Seung Hyun aren't you?

Seung Hyun bit his lip and nodded.

I think you might be here because of something horrible that you have seen...

The principal sighed and clicked a few times on the computer before turning back to Seung Hyun who nodded slightly.

Honestly I, too, am unable to immediately help you with this sort of case... The person or whoever was in on the act has blocked off all cameras in the school.

The principal turned the computer to face Seung Hyun. Seung Hyun bent down and took a closer look at the screen which only showed a bunch of jagged lines.

What about this one?

Seung Hyun asked as he pointed at the one at the top left corner.

Camera C3-4.

He continued as the principal turned the computer back to face her. Indeed there was a working camera which signal wasn't cut off.

Oh, this. I've been watching the speed up recording, from 4pm to 6pm yesterday, and not a single soul has went past.

Seung Hyun pursed his lips and nodded slowly.

I'll try to keep you covered for now.

The principal added before sending Seung Hyun off.

Seung Hyun and JiYeon walked back to class where almost everyone has arrived. They took their respective seats and waited till lessons started.

Yah, why isn't JiYong here?

Seung Hyun threw a paper ball at YoungBae. YoungBae looked up and shrugged.

He hasn't been around since yesterday. He didn't tell me where he went, neither did he call or message me about his whereabouts.

YoungBae said and turned back to the teacher who was still trying to contact JiYong or his parents. It has been ten minutes since the teacher started dialing everyone related to JiYong.

For now we shall start without him. Get your things ready for your next lesson. I'll deal with Kwon JiYong once he's here.

The teacher sighed and put the phone down. Seung Hyun ran a hand through his hair.

Where could that guy go? Flirting with the girls from the other school? Just plain lazy to get his ass here?

The clueless Seung Hyun thought as he flipped through the pages in his geography textbook. The geography teacher entered the class, already aware of JiYong's absence.

We will be taking a look at the map of America for this lesson. As you should already know, New York is one of the largest cities in the world. This means there is a high possibility that Mr Kwon JiYong has flown himself over there for a holiday...

The sound of laughter and giggles rose as the teacher finished off his sentence. Seung Hyun shook his head in disbelief.

Where are you Kwon JiYong?

JiYong POV

I sighed as I took a shot of my favourite mix.

Slow down boy... You shouldn't be so greedy when a man like me let you come in here. 

Hyung shook his head and pat my shoulder. I reached for the bottle to pour myself another drink but was stopped by hyung grabbing my hand.

Aish, Teddy hyung~

I whined and shook his hand off, only for him to grab it once again. I sighed and stood up, heading to the couch and flopping down on it.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I kind of skipped school so that I could take my mind off everything. By everything you know what I mean. Seung Hyun, JiYeon and all that hate building up in me. I have been drinking for a while now but it seems like I haven't been able to get drunk. I want to so badly. So that I can forget about everything and let my body take over my mind.

Teddy came over and sat down beside me. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. My eyes were a little blurry and my head was sort of heavy. I didn't feel a single bit drunk at all though.

JiYong ah, you can't keep hating on him because of how he attracts girls. You can like a girl who doesn't seem to pay you any attention but for god's sake don't hate on either of them because of that.

I shook my head a little. My eye lids got heavier and heavier. I headed to the guest room as quickly as I could to prevent my jelly legs from giving way.

Yeah, right. Get some sleep kid.

Teddy's voice sounded from the door.

Narrator POV

Seung Hyun shoved his books into his bag before heading down the stairs with JiYeon trailing behind him. The countless posters were still pasted on the walls. Seung Hyun sighed as he went past all of those till he reached the first floor.

Once they arrived in the dorm, Seung Hyun threw his bag down and sat on his bed with his phone in hand.

Hello? JiYong! Where have you been? Why didn't-

Seung Hyun was cut off by the voice on the other line.

Seung Hyun?

Seung Hyun frowned as he tried to recognize the man's voice.

Teddy hyung?

Seung Hyun said.

Where is JiYong? He didn't go to school. And why did you pick up his call?

Seung Hyun asked with a tint of worry in his voice. He heard Teddy sigh.

Seung Hyun ah... JiYong is kind of...

Seung Hyun felt his heart beat stop for a split second.

He's a little... Unwell...

Seung Hyun could sense that Teddy was trying to make whatever situation over there sound a little less worrying.

Hyung just tell me!

Seung Hyun was getting annoyed by the way Teddy was stuttering.

Well, JiYong just sort of went to take a nap but he can't seem to wake up now...
