Part 18 Tears

Seung Hyun slipped his phone back into his pocket as he sprinted out of the dorm and down to the carpark where his motorcycle was parked.

He turned on the engine and let it roar as he sped off to Teddy's house.

Teddy's house

Hyung!

Seung Hyun called as he pushed past the medics. Teddy stood aside as the medics crowded around JiYong's body, doing what they had to.

Seung Hyun's eyes welled up with tears at the sight of JiYong's body being transported onto a stretcher. The oxygen mask tied to his face made Seung Hyun's heart ached a hundred times more.

Seung Hyun turned to Teddy and gave him a glare that could send shivers down anyone's spine. He grabbed Teddy by the collar before he had time to react.

Why the FUCK did you let this happen?!

He shouted into the older man's face, giving everyone there a shock. The medics paused to check out the commotion before turning their attention back to JiYong's unconscious body.

Keep it down Seung Hyun ah...

Teddy sighed as he removed Seung Hyun's hands. Seung Hyun scoffed and rolled his eyes before stomping off.

JiYong is currently in a unstable state. After all, it is possible for a person to reach a level of intoxication that becomes life-threatening also known as alcohol poisoning. His respiratory system became depressed, which means that his breathing had stopped. We managed to get him back and he is now relying on the life support device to stay alive. I am sorry but you might have to stay outside until further notice.

The nurse sighed and gave Seung Hyun a pat on the shoulder before turning away, back to the intensive care unit. Seung Hyun grabbed her arm before she could close the door.

Is there a possibility... That he...

Seung Hyun stutters and the nurse nods silently, knowing exactly what he wanted to ask. Seung Hyun bowed and thanked her politely. Teddy on the other hand pulled Seung Hyun into a tight hug, knowing that his little brother could break down anytime now.

Everything will be okay Seung Hyun ah...

Teddy whispered into Seung Hyun's ear, rubbing his back gently then patting it lightly. Seung Hyun buried his face into Teddy's shoulder and let his tears get soaked up by his hyung's shirt. Being taller then his hyung, Seung Hyun started feeling a strain in his neck as he continued sobbing.

Dorm

Yeah, school's fine... What? How would I know?

JiYeon frowned as her mother chocked on her tears.

Uncle? What about him?

JiYeon felt her heart drop as her mother fought back her tears. 

Alright...

JiYeon sighed and clicked the end call button. Her mother hasn't called on months. Her mother trusted her uncle to take care of her. But what she didn't know and what she least expected had happened.

JiYeon threw her phone onto the couch and buried her face in her hands. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she blamed herself.

It's all my fault. If only I didn't leave him alone

JiYeon thought as her crying got worse. She may not like her uncle the most but she couldn't bear the fact that it happened to him. And worst of all, it happened because of her actions.

JiYeon?

The deep husky voice sounded from not too far away. JiYeon sniffed a little and wiped her tears away as she lifted her head. What stood in front of her hurt her more.

Seung Hyun...

JiYeon mumbled at Seung Hyun who seemed to be a mirror image of her. His eyes were red and teary. He looked tired and sad... Very depressed.

The two stood there for who knows how long.
