There was no way I was stepping foot in that Tower. He wanted nothing to do me intimately, but Professionally it was fine? That made no sense. I would be lying if I told myself the answer was no, because I wasn't sure. He had walked into this Apartment and made me sign my Heart away. Lucas obviously didn't care about my feelings, so maybe I wasn't going to care about his. Oh, I would return to work tomorrow. I would just be the biggest pain in the ass he ever hired.

The next day, I made sure to dress mouth watering. He wanted nothing to do with me, and that was fine. I would just make sure he knew what he was missing.

Walking into the Tower, I felt all eyes burning holes into my head. Was it the way I dressed, or because it wasn't a secret anymore of our 3 day Marriage. I'm sure it was one for the record books. I had walked out of my Apartment Building earlier and caught a glimpse of the front page of Today's Newspaper.

I was infuriated. They even had the worst possible picture of me plastered on the front page. How did they even get all of this information so fast? Not even paparazzi was that good. A headache started forming in the back of my neck as I reached the Elevator. The Elevator walls were mirror so I was able to check myself. I wore Red High Heels paired a Tight, Blue button up dress. I had no idea how I was going to sit. The dress was sleeveless and I brought a blazer just in case I got cold. I doubted I would need it. Underneath my dress, I wore Spanx, and I was starting to sweat. My hair was in a ponytail and I decided I wanted my eyes to pop instead of my lips. Smokey eye look and a nude lip.
"It's fine, you look great. His mouth is going to drop when he sees you. "
I kept repeating this in my head.
"Excuse me, did you say something to me?"
I turn slowly. Their was one other person on the Elevator with me. Did she hear me? Wasn't I talking to myself?
Shit. Nope, she heard me.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't."
She smiled and looked back down to her phone.
I look at my Watch. 11:00 am. Perfect! Nothing better than showing up for work, late. Once I'm on the 90th Floor, all eyes are on me once again. Composing myself until I got to my Desk was all that mattered. Nothing else.

Once I round the corner, I see Shawn sitting in Luke's Office alone. He does a double take when he sees me and meets me at my Desk.
"Good-morning Shawn."
He smiles at me. "It is now that you're here."
I put my stuff down and look at him confused.
"When you weren't here at 9, he threw a fit."
My heart stopped beating. Then it started up once I realized I was the help. He only needed me to run his errands and answer his calls.
"He will survive."
Shawn laughs and walks back into the Office.

The phone rings.
"Good-Afternoon, Mr. Bower's Office. How can I help you?"
The person on the other end starts to laugh.
"Yes, I'm looking for my boyfriend, Lucas. Is he in?"
It was Susan. I wanted to stick my hand through the phone and shove it down her throat.
"Oh, you mean my Husband? He's actually taking a shower right now. Im about to join him. Try him back in an hour.
She's starts laughing.
"Really? I'll be seeing him tonight. Tell him-"
Click.
I lean back in my chair and exhale covering my face with my hands. I didn't care to hear the rest of the that.

Today was going to be a long one. Once I removed my hands, I sit properly on my chair. She or no other person would get to me today. I kept repeating that to myself. I was stressed enough. I log into my email and see what fun and exciting things await me.

I suddenly feel someone's eyes on me. Looking up and to my right, I see Lucas was standing next to my desk. How long he had been standing there, wasn't sure. I just prayed he didn't here that phone call with Susan.

I look back at him and don't say a word. He did look upset, which annoyed me.
"You're late. Is everything okay?"
Damnit! I thought he was going to be pissed off. Guess not.
"Yep. Great!"
"Good. So tomorrow, 9 o'clock right?"
Not on your life. "Yeah, of course." I smile and he walks into his Office.
