Alex pov~

It's 7:00 am and I'm sitting by myself at the desk in my dorm room, typing away at my computer (I don't have a room mate). A smile plastered to my face.

Life was great at the moment despite my past, I had loads of friends who cared about me (Hercules, Lafayette Angelica, Eliza AND PEGGY ect.), good grades, a scholarship and basically everything I needed. But the best thing was my boyfriend John, oh how I loved John Laurence. He was the sun to my shine.

Thinking about him, he said he was coming at 8 so we could go to Starbucks with the gays. And yes I did mean gays for we are going with Laf and Herc who ironically enough are also dating.

I typed some more things on my computer and then decide to check my schedule for today. I had nothing in the morning but then a couple of lessons in the afternoon, like History and Politics. I also had debate club at the end of the day. Good I thought.

It's now 7:45, better start preparing John's never late. I head into the bathroom, brush my teeth, tie up my hair and throw on some random clothes.

Just as the clock turns 8 I hear a knock at my door. Jumping to my feet and nearly falling over I open the door. And there, standing in all his glory, is John. I jump into his arms as he gives me a light kiss on the lips.

We stand there for a few moments gazing into each others eyes with smiles on our faces, before he says "Ready to go beautiful?" I blush slightly, nod my head and say "Yes". Then he takes my hand and we start making our way to Starbucks.

John's pov~

I'd been ready to go to Alex's room since 7, but he'll never know. Our relationship took a long time to develop. I mean I knew I loved him when I first saw him, but he took a bit longer. We where best friends and still are kinda, just the love is romantic from both sides.

I had been trying to get him to go out with me for a while that is until he agreed. I knew he fancied me with all the flirting, so he was probably playing hard to get or was just overly oblivious.

Now with his hand in mine, walking under the sunshine, making our way to Starbucks I couldn't feel happier. There was a comfortable silence until we got there. I opened the door and held it open for Alex to enter first.

He looked at me, smiled and said "Thanks John", that's enough from him to get my heart to skip a beat.

I followed him in and looked around too see where Laf and Herc were. It didn't take long for they were the cutest couple in there. Laf was sitting on Herc's lap, showing him something on his phone. They where silently giggling and whispering.

I wasn't the only one who noticed them, for Alex had walked up to the table grinning. He slammed his hand on the table to get their attention, and said "What's up love birds?!" rather loudly, but that was just Alex being Alex and I love that part of him like all the others.

I made my way towards the table and stood next to Alex putting my arm around his waist proudly. Laf grinned back at us and said in his thick French accent "Je pourrais vous dire la même chose mon amie" (If it's incorrect blame Google translate, anyway I'll put the translation after french is spoken so you know what's being said: I could say same to you my friend), Alex started blushing in the cutest way, I didn't completely understand but after being around Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, Marquis de Lafayette you tend to pick up some french.

Now it was Herc's turn to speak "We beat you here, again. Anyway last one to the table gets the drinks" he smirked at me. I sighed in defeat as Alex quickly sat down. He wasn't just about to let the first part of what Herc said slide for he was a man of competition. "We never agreed on any type of race for the first ones here!" he demanded "Coz if we did we" he gestured to me and him, (I don't know why but it made me feel really happy and bubbly inside) "Would have won!". "Yeah you up for a challenge?!" Herc was getting pumped up, "Always!" Alex said determination in his voice. "Fine then! The first couple here tomorrow wins!" Herc announced, "And has to pay for all the drinks!" Alex added. They looked at each other and smiled determination on their faces, "Deal!" they then said in unison.
