Chapter 8

~Darius pov~

I was messing with Blair when she suddenly became tense looking past me. I turned to see what she was looking at but there wasn't anything there. "What's wrong?" I asked her, but she ignored me and got up off the couch and went upstairs.

I followed her like a lost puppy because I had no idea on what was going on. She went into her moms office so I stayed in the hall. I could tell something was wrong because both Blair and Ashli came running out the office and down stairs.

Again I was following them, still not knowing what was going on. Ashli ran out the door and jumped the stairs, shifting in mid air. She landed and took off around the side of the pack house.

It must be some kind of threat but I don't sense anything and there isn't any foreign smell. So who ever it is must have some kind of special ability or they're using some kind of potion to cover up their sent.

I shifted into my wolf and was sniffing around the edge of the pack land. I didn't pick up anything so I started to head back. While going back I here a twig snap so I stop. A rouge came out of a bush at full speed, I didn't expect it so he was able to knock me off my feet.

He tried to pin me but I threw him off, then grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and pinned him to the ground. He snapped at my legs trying to get loose but I kept pressing him into the ground.

'Shift' I growled in my alpha tone, the wolf snarled back in response so I bite his neck harder. That made him angry and he tried to roll but I planted my feet on the ground so he couldn't flip me.

'Shift or i will kill you' I growled biting harder to get my point across. He growled then started to shift so I let him go. In his human form he was short as hell. It took everything in me not to laugh and trust me it was hard. This guy was probably the same height as the seven dwarves.

I shifted back to human form when I was able to stop myself from laughing. " what are you doing here rouge", he glared at me and said " names Tony and what I'm doing here ain't nun of yo business". My wolf bristled at his tone and I didn't like it either. "You ain't alpha of this pack so I ain't gotta talk to you" Tony said.

"It is my business if your on my allies land now you will tell me why your here because I'm the nice one if you met the Alpha of this pack you would regret not talking to me". He looked skeptical for a moment then he looked at me to see if I was lying.when he saw that I was serious he decided to talk. "I was sent here by Ethan he wanted me to scout out this pack" Tony said.

"I will let you go because I want you to tell Ethan that if he keeps messing with this pack I will make sure that he is killed by me" I said growling. Tony shifted and left in the direction of Ethan's coven. 'If he thinks that he can hurt our mate he has another thing coming' Able said menacingly. 'Don't worry Able he won't get anywhere near Blair unless he kills me'.

I shifted and ran back to the pack house when I got there Ashli had a person tied up sitting on the ground. I walked up to Blair and asked what's going on. "Found this rouge running around our land" Blair said eying the wolf. "I didn't do anything let me go" the wolf yelled trying to snap the rope.

"Your on my land that's what you did wrong" Ashli said staring the wolf down. If looks could kill this wolf would be ashes. "I didn't mean to come on your land I was trying to leave but then I saw one of your pack members and panicked" the wolf said looking at Ashli pleadingly.

Now that I actually looked at the wolf he was very young. He looked to be 12 or 13 years old. There is no way he came here to harm us. "Ashli can I talk to you for a sec", she looked at me and I walked off to the side. When she got over there she asked me what I need to talk to her about.

" when I was in the woods I ran into a rouge he was a scout for Ethan but I took care of it. Also that wolf you have tied up is only a kid I don't think he would try to hurt us". She did say anything just stood there thinking. "Alright since he is a rouge I will let him choose to join one of our packs or to leave" Ashli said after a minute of thinking.

I nodded and we walked back over to where the boy was sitting. "Alright you have two options you can join one of our packs or you can leave" Ashli said. The boy's face lit up "I want to join your pack" he said looking at Ashli. Ashli's pack warrior untied the boy and helped him up.

"We got a new pack member" Blair said. I jumped in surprise because I didn't even know she was standing next to me. She giggled at my reaction and patted my arm "scaredycat" Blair said walking away, I frowned watching her go. "Hey Darius" Ryan yelled walking over to where I am.

Ashli looked at me with a questioning look. "This is my pack warrior Ryan, Ryan this is Ashli the alpha of this pack" I said introducing them to each other. Ryan bowed his head in a sign of respect, Ashli nodded back. Then everyone headed into the pack house.
