CHAPTER I
MARGO'S PROBLEM
"Go and get dressed." Gru said looking at his watch.
It was Saturday. 12 o'clock struck and Margo was still in her pyjamas. Lucy was out, Edith was at art class and Agnes, well nobody knew where Agnes was.
"Finnee...." Margo yawned and stretched.
She rolled off the sofa and slowly walked to her room. Flopping her robe on her bed Margo slowly began to undress. She got her mulberry shorts and tried to slip them on but they didn't fit.
"That's funny.... They fitted me a week ago." She thought.
Margo put the shorts down and went into her trouser drawer. It was empty. Nothing to be seen apart from a bit of fluff and a Fruitella sweet. She wondered how it could suddenly be empty.
But then she remembered....
On Monday at school she got paint on her trousers.
On Tuesday she wore different trousers.
On Wednesday those other trousers were splattered with pasta sauce.
On Thursday and Friday she wore a skirt. That got muddy at the park.
Then on Saturday.....well today was Saturday and here Margo was without a thing to wear. She didn't know what to do. There were no girls in the house apart from her. Gru would probably just tell her to wear a towel the rest of the day. The minions wouldn't be much help either. She thought for a moment and then the idea came to Margo.
"I'll call Lucy!!"
CHAPTER II
LUCY TO THE RESCUE
Lucy had been eating lunch at her friend's house when Margo called. She said she'd be over as soon as she could. As she put the phone down, Lucy apologised to her friend, grabbed her purse and sunglasses and headed off.
She got to the house, let herself in and rushed up the stairs to see Margo.
"Margo??" Lucy looked around Margo's room.
"Oh Lucy." Margo replied peeking around from her en suite door. "I'm glad you're here."
Margo explained the situation to Lucy.
"Well, we could go shopping." Lucy suggested.
"Like this?"
"Hmmm.... Good point." Lucy paused. "What about the minions go shopping for you? I could get Dave, Jerry and Kevin to go."
"That would be great Lucy. I'm a size 11 - 12."
"Okay, bye Margo. The minions will bring your clothes later." Lucy opened the door.
"Thanks and bye!" Margo sat down.
CHAPTER III
AT THE SHOPS
Jerry, Kevin and Dave were delighted. They were called to go shopping for Margo! Dave revved the engine of their rocket motorbike car and off they went.
It was a long drive to town so Jerry put some music on. Very loud music on.
When they got to Primark Dave was so excited. He kept jumping up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down.
They walked through the doors into the mass of shoppers. The minions didn't waste any time. The slid down the arm of the escalator and headed straight for the kids department.
The racks were full of clothes. Skirts, shorts, t-shirts, blouses, leggings, jeans and more. They had everything! Kevin decided to try on a dress. He went in the changing room and came out looking like an absolute dork. Everyone around the minions was laughing even Mr Ramsbottom, who they spotted earlier.
After Kevin looked normal again they went to the jeans section to get Margo some jeans. The only problem was that Dave liked the green jeans, Jerry liked the pink jeans and Kevin liked the blue jeans. They fought over the situation until they noticed a pair of rainbow jeans. The minions all agreed they should get them.
They picked some black shorts and purple leggings and then the three minions went to the checkout. Jerry handed over the £50 note and took the clothes. Dave took the change and slid down the escalator to unlock the car.
CHAPTER III
THE ARRIVAL
They all got home in time for Margo to have her breakfast the next day as Dave drove home himself. Jerry and Kevin had to get a train but they got off at the wrong stop. In Blackpool they went up the tower and they went to M&D's theme park.
When Kevin and Jerry got back they were exhausted but at least Margo did get some new trousers in the end.
