Hello, I know it's only been a short time since I've uploaded for this story, but I couldn't wait to share this lil gem. I was just recently at a regional theatre festival and I began to write about what was happening and this shot out. I don't actually go to Iowa State University, it's the only other college I could think of while writing it. I hope you enjoy.

Virgil sat in the theatre making himself as small as possible, the crowd was not something he was used to, it was honestly terrifying. Virgil had spent a majority of the week at a theatre festival, on his own, he wasn't up for much more than sitting down and relaxing today, but the group had decided to collectively go to the closing ceremony, which meant being in a large group of people again and Virgil was feeling the effects.

He had been separated from his friends and the majority of the students and faculty from the college he was with. His professors were spread around the large theatre and he and another acquaintance were stuck in the front row. Many people passed by at different points during the ceremony.

When the awards were being presented, the musical theatre award was announced. The presenter asked the winner to step onstage and accept the award after giving an encore performance. They announced the name Roman Prins and a beautiful young man stepped onstage and began to sing Seize the Day from Newsies and Virgil was captivated, he had never seen someone this breathtaking sing something that beautiful.

Roman wouldn't leave Virgil's tired brain. All he could think of was how special and wonderful Roman is.

Virgil stayed after, he told his acquaintance that he would walk back to the hotel and he waited for Roman to come back from offstage. He didn't have to wait long after the theatre had cleared. Roman stepped out of the door and immediately saw Virgil, he was surprised, he didn't think that he'd have a fan at such a young age, and such an attractive fan at that. Roman was captivated, even more than he would ever want to admit.

Virgil began making himself smaller, this was such a stressful situation for him, he was terrified that Roman would hate him or be snobby or something along those lines, man, why'd I do this, I hate people, well, not really, but still, dear lord. "Uh-um, Hi, I, uh, saw your performance, it was beautiful and um you're super cool, and stuff, I dunno."

"Oh, why thank you, my name is Roman," he bowed elegantly before kissing Virgil's hand.

Virgil's eyes widened and his face felt as though it were on fire. "I-I'm Virgil, I go to Iowa State University, you're really good, I just wanted to let you know and stuff, I dunno, um sorry, I'll just go, I'm sorry if I'm annoying you or something."

"No, no, Virgil, you're doing the opposite of that, I hope to get to know you much better in the future, I am actually transferring to Iowa State University and I would be very interested in having you be my guide and possibly go out to dinner with me."

"Um, sure, should we exchange numbers or something?"

Roman nodded and the two walked back together. Each excited to see the outcome of their newfound relationship.

Please go ahead and let me know what you think, this is new-ish for me. If you have any prompts, go ahead and tell me.
