Heya everyone, this is a bit weird for me because I'm typing these  author notes on the computer and usually I use my iPad or yeah, usually just my iPad, but let me tell you, if you're going to college, make sure you've got a laptop and not just an iPad. it helps out in the long run honestly. Well, this is a lil baby story that's been stirring for a while, the whole secret admirer trope is literally my favorite. Oh! The video I've linked is Marianas Trench's newest single Rhythm of Your Heart's music video.

Let Me know of any Triggers.

Beautiful, was the only thing the note read. Virgil stared into his locker with a blush painting his cheeks, this wasn't the first note to show up in his locker and he had a feeling this wouldn't be the last. He always had a warm feeling after he found one of these short statements.

Virgil stashed the paper in his pocket, he couldn't wait to put it with the others. He smiled quietly and gathered his things ready to move to his next class. He looked towards the door to his next class, where curiously he saw Patton, one of the nicest and most popular boys in the entire school, standing calmly searching for someone.

Virgil was a bit confused, who was Patton searching for? Patton looked a bit discouraged, so Virgil slowly slid sideways of Patton and walked into the room attempting to not get noticed by his classmates, it was his goal to be unnoticed by any and all of his classmates in school for the last few years, he had bad experiences in past years and schools. This was Virgil's fifth school since he started high school.

Junior year was supposed to be tough, but not as impossible as it was seeming to be. Virgil had been in this school system when he was younger; he moved after his parents got a job a half hour away. Only recently had  Virgil come back, his parents split up and he was sent to live with his uncle, Thomas, and cousin, Roman. Luckily or unluckily, Virgil remembered everyone, but no one seemed to recognize him.

Virgil sat at his desk, in the back corner, and pulled his notebooks and sketchbooks out. Virgil opened the sketchbook to the page he had been working on earlier that day and continued working on the drawing of Patton he had started not long after he had started back at school here. He worked on the sketch well into the beginning of his Modern Latin History class, he only stopped when his teacher, Mr. W, started his enthusiastic rant about the riots in Bogota.

Virgil had fun in this class, like usual, and even participated, unlike usual. Virgil began to stretch out of his desk after the bell rang, he continued  standing up to leave the classroom and Mr. W stopped him, "Virgil, I'm happy to have you participating. Just so you know, if you need anything, I'm here to talk."

Virgil blushed and nodded slowly, he quickly thanked his teacher and left the room haphazardly with his sketchbook out in front of his body. Virgil stared at the picture on the paper and accidentally walked right into the figure in front of him. Virgil's cheeks burned bright red while his ears scorched, he began apologizing profusely, but he was stopped by the figure. He looked up slowly and saw Patton, he shut up immediately and dropped his sketchbook with wide eyes.

Patton leaned down to pick up the sketchbook. He looked at the page that the book was open to, the drawing that Virgil had been working on, the picture of Patton. Virgil breathed heavily while Patton looked over the sketch. Virgil quickly snatched the book and ran off. He didn't stop until he was in the library, he usually spent his free period in the library. Virgil began drawing again, he had to get this picture right; it was something that had to happen.

~

Patton walked into the library, this was his first ever free period; he had been forced to a quarter long class that finally ended. Patton knew that Virgil was a bit squeamish, but he hadn't seen the full extent of it until just a few minutes ago. Patton had no idea what Virgil's next class was, if he had, he would feel more comfortable leaving a note in his locker.

Patton had been leaving notes in his locker because he has had a ginormous crush on Virgil since before he had to move away.

Patton was utterly crushed when Virgil moved way, but was overjoyed to find out that he was moving back to live with his cousin. Patton saw him for the first time again a few months ago, and he fell so hard for Virgil, even more than he had the first time. He decided to walk into the library and sit there for his free period.

He was pleasantly surprised to find that Virgil was sitting at a table working on what seemed to be the very same picture that Patton happened to see before Virgil ran here. Patton decided to stay out of Virgil's sight line. He wanted to leave a note for Virgil, something he would treasure forever, something like Smart or Cool or Intelligent, something longer maybe.

That's it, Patton is going to write a longer letter, something that tells him how he feels.

Virgil,

Until now I have only sent very short letters, but I can no longer leave only short messages in your locker, the words I have for you can no longer be contained in one word per day. Virgil, you are special and beautiful. I remember you and your beauty. You have support here.

Love,

Your Secret admirer

xoxo

Patton decided to leave the library a bit earlier so he leave the note in Virgil's locker.

~

Virgil looked up briefly while working on his drawing of Patton and saw the man himself, furiously writing on a piece of paper, Virgil made the split second decision to keep an eye on him. Virgil watched Patton stand up and excuse himself from the library, Virgil followed, at a distance. He noticed Patton slip something in what looked like possibly Virgil's own locker, was Patton, no, he couldn't be, could he be?

Virgil opened his locker to a fluttering paper. Virgil's eyes widened and a grin and blush filled his cheeks, like watercolor filling a painting. Virgil knew he had to finish the sketch soon, he had to give it to Patton and show him that he knew and just wanted Patton to know that he was okay with it. Virgil finally took a moment to read the letter and his heart was overflowing with a strange, strong feeling, something he could never recall feeling, even when he was living with both of his parents, it was pleasant, but terrifying, all he knew was that he had to get the sketch done.

~

It was weeks later and Virgil had both an idea where Patton would sit regularly in the library and the sketch finished. Virgil left the sketch on Patton's regular table and hid behind the nearest bookshelf waiting for Patton to find it.

Virgil watched Patton pick up the picture. Patton searched the area around the picture and saw Virgil peeking out from behind the bookshelf. Patton winked at Virgil and smiled. Virgil burned crimson and softly smiled back.

Hello again, by the way, how apparent is it that I write all of my author notes after the story? Oh, soon I will be posting this to Tumblr under my side blog, if you see it, say howdy, okay, not howdy, but hi or say something about how many Jays there are in this fan community... XD Oh just an update from whenever I last posted, I'm currently in a show called Awesome 80s Prom as a nerdy character.

By the way, Mr. W is based off of a very awesome Professor here at the school I'm going to .

(if you can tell me what this phrase means, Kudos to you.)
