Marya ran through her house.
How dare Justin!
The woman was furious.
She was disappointed.
She was in shock. She could not believe what Justin had done.

Marya busted into the living room.
Justin was standing in the middle,
terrified for Marya’s reaction.
He was shaking from anxiety.
Natasha was in the corner of the room,
waiting for the reaction.

Natasha had told Marya everything she knew.
Marya was furious when Natasha told.
The woman had another idea,
she would lock Justin away in the living room as she waited.
Zayn was there on time,
surprising.

“You shameless, good-for-nothing,
you vile, shameless boy!” Marya shouted, stomping her way towards Justin.
“In my house!?
A very nice boy! Very nice!” She said,
not wanting to put Justin down all the way.
Marya could not help herself,
she loved her godson very much.

Marya gripped onto Justin’s arms,
keeping them at his sides.
Justin was frightened of this side of his godmother.
“You dirty nasty wench of a thing!
Now don’t you say one word
in my house!
You horrid boy…
hussy!
In my house!” Justin gasped at the names Marya was calling him.

The young Count tried not to cry,
but it was becoming unbearable.
“It’s lucky for him that he escaped—
but I’ll find him!
Now you listen to me when I speak to you!
Now you listen to me when I speak to you!” Marya shouted.
She slapped Justin across the face,
showing her pure anger.
“Do you hear what I am saying or not?!”

Justin gasped,
tears were sliding down his cheeks.
Marya was furious with him.
He now understood her anger level.
Justin’s whole body shook,
with noiseless, convulsive sobs.
He was sobbing,
he could not control it.

Marya touched her hand to Justin’s face.
She felt pity now for slapping him.
She regretted it.

“Don’t touch me!” Justin shouted at his godmother.
“Let me be!
What is it to me?!
I shall die!” He screamed at her,
making sure Natasha would hear it.
It was her fault that she had told Marya.
Justin knew that his marriage with Zayn would be fine!

Natasha had no right barging into his plans like that.
She could not do anything else for Justin.
She wanted to save Justin,
she succeeded.
Natasha saved her best friend and cousin.
Something was going to turn out wrong.
Natasha sensed it.

“What are we going to tell to your father?!” Marya shouted,
she started to worry. Justin’s other side of the family was very strict.
Her shouting was nothing compared to her father’s punishments.
Justin had never seen them before,
he was lucky.
“Oh! What are we going to tell Prince Andrey? Huh?!
Oh! What do we tell to your betrothed?!”

Justin stood up against Marya.
He had completely forgot about Andrey.
“I have no betrothed!
I have refused him!” Justin yelled above Marya’s ranting.
He hoped this would stop all of them from yelling at him.
Justin had thought he done nothing wrong.
He had no betrothed,
he did nothing wrong with Zayn.

Natasha ran towards Justin.
She had tears in her eyes.
She felt pity and sorrow for her cousin.
“Justin! Come here and kiss me!
Press your wet face to mine!” She tried to hug Justin.

Justin shoved her away.
“Don’t touch me!” He shouted at his cousin.
Natasha gasped.
Justin could not stand to be near Natasha anymore.
She was his enemy now.

Marya thought about it for a while,
she realized a few points in the story.
“Why didn’t he come to the house?
Why didn’t he openly ask for your hand?
You were not kept under lock and key!!
He was trying to carry you off like some Gypsy girl!
And if he had carried you off,
don’t you think your father would have found him?” Marya yelled questions at the young Count.
