One Little Shape Shifter

Chapter 1

I scamper across the woods with my paws all wet from pond I was once drinking from. I'm running from a human of course. Oh I'm sorry I am Chloe M. Revere and I'm a shape shifter, anyways humans are always trying to catch shape shifters to see what their magic is. I hide behind a tree than turn into a hunter the humans ask me, "Have you seen a stray cat around here young lady?" "Oh yes! The cat was running through all those trees." I say while pointing to the opposite way I came from. "Thank you young lady. Ok come on guys let's go get that... umm cat!" Says the Man and his friends run off to the way I pointed to. I take a deep breath and run off to the way I came. I turn into a cat go into my little house under a tree and turn into an elf which is my normal form. "Thank God your ok!" said my mom. "Ya, I'm fine Mom." I said. "Let's get to bed now Mom." I nestle in my bed and sleep. I wake up in the morning and I see a letter just below our entrance i pick it up and open it with my nails. It says: Dear Chloe M. Revere, I know many shape shifters are still busy trying to stay alive but if you can go to the train station and go to number B9 and it will bring you to a school go inside the gate and in the far right corner you'll see a portal go in it and we will help you from there. Bring everything you'll need and you'll be all set! We are hoping you will join our school!

My eyes widen new house, school, and safety! that's all me and my mom need! I grab my huge backpack and my mom's put some stuff in my backpack and some in her's. I don't pack our beds because they are really just pine needles. Now all that's left is my mom. I won't make loud noises because then the humans might hear me. I jostle her and say in a normal voice, "Mom wake up!" her eye slightly open. "Look what i got!" I handed her the letter and as soon as she finishes reading her as widened just as mine did then she jumped out bed took her bag off of the floor and we turn into humans. "Our dream has come true Mom." I say. "School, a nice Home, and safety."
