Chapter Two

Today I had to wake up at 6:30. I don't even have a class till 9:30 but it was our talk to help us understand and know our way around the college. I get dressed in high-waisted jean shorts that aren't too short but not too long and a t-shirt that I tuck into my jeans. I put on mascara and lip gloss (the only makeup that I wear) and wait for Lynn.

When everyone is ready we head out to the "quad" or the center of the college with grass where everyone hangs out. Christina finds Will and they kiss so Lynn and I make gagging noises behind them. Marlene is dating someone named Uriah and Lynn is single like me.

We laugh when Will and Christina glares at us but they kiss right after. A lot of people are here. In front of us is a tall looking guy is dark skin, it looks like he is counting us over and over. Is everyone not here? I look around and count 29. Is there supposed to be 30? I count again and when I reach the middle a guy that is tall and in all black clothes(even shoes) walks up sleepily. He has blue eyes that are alert and sleepy at the same time. How is that possible?

"Finally you decide to show!" A deep voice bellows from the front. It is the tall guy in front of us probably talking about the guy that just showed up. We look in his direction and he just grins and chuckles sheepishly, then looking at the front. "I'm Max, I'm the principal of Dauntless University. I'm going to show you around so you know where to go." His eyes jump around the group of freshmans looking into every pair of eyes.

After we walked around the whole campus I check the time. 8:45. I have to be at class by 9:25(well 9:30 but I want to be early). I go back to my dorm with Lynn and Christina at my sides all the way there. We all grab our books and head to class. Lynn has the same schedule as me which is perfect because we are also dormmates so we can help each other with homework and studying and stuff like that. We get to class at 9:29 so we are just on time. Right as the bell rings a tall guy with messy hair runs in and sits next to me in the middle row. He is panting from running.

"Hi... I'm Al!" He says this while panting. "I'm Tris and this is Lynn." I say while smiling as Lynn waves to him. Class starts and I'm already bored. Help me! I say it over and over till I notice something. Sorry not something, someone, staring at me! I look over to find the guy that was late this morning looking at me.

I work out sometimes and I eat healthy so I have a good body. Is that why he is staring at me? Is he one of those guys that just wants to get in your pants? I look again and find that he stopped staring. Whew! I look back at the board and I don't look at him again.

Lynn and I head back to our dorm after class ended. Right when we entered Chris (Christina wanted me to call her that) and Marlene walks in too. I have to tell then what happed after class.

"Spill!" Chris says. I'm guessing Lynn told them to come here after what she witnessed after class. "I heard the bell so I started to pack up. I always take forever so I told Lynn she can wait by the doorway. I finish and..." "She ran into the hot guy that was late this morning and they started talking!" Lynn shouts after cutting me off.

"OMG!! What did he say!!" Marlene and Chris says at the exact time. They are all looking at me, waiting for me to answer. "He said, 'Sorry I didn't see you there!' Then I say, 'It's ok I should have been looking.' I was about to leave then out of nowhere he says, 'I was confused on that whole topic, can you help me later?' I was so confu..." I was cut of by Chris saying, "He so likes you!! What did you say?!" "I was about to get there!" I am honestly sick of getting cut off.

"Sorry." She says getting it. "It's ok. But then I say, 'Sure but I have another class today at three.' He then says and this shocked me, 'Ok tonight at 6:00 my place.'" I wait for a response but they say nothing, I think they think that I'm not done talking. "You guys may speak now."

Right as those words flow from my mouth I am bambarded by questions. They all speack at once so I don't know what the questions even were.
"Woah! Slowed down one question at a time! Lynn go first." "What are you going to wear?!" I thought it was a stupid question, why would I change? "This of course! Chris your next." "Lynn asked my question." She said but added, "I think what you have on is cute but you want something hot!" I laugh at this responce and so does everyone else.

"I like what I'm wearing." "Ok! It is cute!" I know because I also have a good fashion sense. "Marlene you can go." "Do you like him?" I am shocked at this question. I mean he is not unappealing to the eyes but I don't know anything about him, he could be a player that uses girls for their own entertainment.
"I don't know. I don't know anything about him, I mean what if he is one of those guys that charms a girl just to use her." They all did not think about that. "Well you will know after tonight." Marlene finally says. "I guess I will." We laugh and I look at the time. Shoot 2:55! We are going to be late! I grab Lynn and we run to class.
