5 - Meet Hunter and Cleo

Percy heard the soft snore that meant the son of Hades had fallen asleep on him. He nearly cooed out loud at how cute that was.

Annabeth had teased him when he told her about his crush on the boy, maybe even love for him now. She had been okay with it though.

Annabeth looked at them now with a small, wistful smile. "Aww," she nudged Percy.

Percy blushed pink.

"There's Tyson!" Grover yelled, pointing at a tall figure with one eye.

"Brother!" Tyson responded, spotting Percy. He ran to hug him, but Percy stopped.

"No, no Tyson, Nico's on my back, careful, careful," Percy said nervously. Normally when the cyclops brother hugged him, he would nearly crush all the bones in his body. But now, Tyson made sure to be careful with the sleeping boy on Percy's back.

"I was careful, brother." Tyson grinned at Percy.

"Thanks," Percy sighed in relief. "Uhm, so where's those demigods?" He shifted Nico on his back.

"Is Nico heavy?" Grover asked Percy. "Because I'm sure it'd be no problem for Tyson to-"

"No, no! Nico's fine, I was just... adjusting him. He's fine, really." Percy really liked carrying the ghost boy on his back, he liked the feeling of his cheek pressed against his shoulder.

"Um, okay," Piper said.

Tyson led the group into a small room where two sleeping twelve to fourteen year olds lay. The first was a girl, she looked to be the younger of the two, with dyed purple hair and ratty black clothes. The second was a boy, with blonde hair and a yellow shirt with jeans on.

"Hunter," Tyson pointed to the boy. "Son of Hermes. Don't know Cleo's parent."

Percy nodded. Hunter had bruised scattered around his arms and a nasty cut on his forehead. Cleo had her leg in a brace and cuts on her body. Tyson softly woke Hunter and he blinked at him.

"Who..." He looked at the people surrounding him.

"We're going to take you to camp. C'mon, wake Cleo." Piper said. Hunter woke Cleo and they both stared at the group.

"Okay, we should get them back to camp-" Percy cut Piper off with a glare.

"At least give Nico a couple minutes. He nearly fainted the first time, and now we're taking three extras."

"Okay, but there's ambrosia and nectar at the camp-"

"Which would be great now-"

"But we don't have any now. And it seems that these two need some too. So let's go."

Piper and Percy argued over what was best for Nico. Finally Percy grumbled in agreement and lifted Nico off his back and into his lap. He gently nudged the boy awake.
