P.O.V. Carter

I was walking in the living room
back and forth. Than peeked to the clock in the kitchen. 11.39 p.m.

Where the hell is she?

She said she'd be home around 10 o'clock. It's been one and a half hour and she didn't show up. To calm down I called Amber her best friend but the she said she had left an hour ago. Hailey is always punctual it's not her manners to come late. If she came home she get the shock of ones life.

My parents put Hailey in a boarding school for girls, cause of her manners. She was a cheeky kid sometimes arrogant, this was always their opinion. Sometimes I think they didn't know her.

They never really cared about her mostly my dad. He thought girls are maids. They don't have any rights to say against a man...

I always thought she was a little princess. Because she seems pretty cute and like a princess. Flawless. She's now my little princess and nothing in the world can change this.

Little hails... I always called her to provokate her and she always got mad which was funny with her hamster cheeks.

I decided to call her for the last time. I dialed her number in my phone. It rings.

>>Hey it's Hailsss you just missed me so leave a message aft...<<, her voice from the mailbox said.

Further I couldn't hear the voice message cause I hung up. I felt queasy by all this.

Why she doesn't pick up?

Maybe she lost her mobile?

What if she had an accident?

Quickly I threw the thoughts backward of my mind and focused on the here and now. I couldn't wait anymore so I made the decision to look for her. I don't know where to start but I need distracting urgently.
I put my shoes on and threw my jacket over me. I screamed to Josh that I'll be back home soon. Than took the car keys out of the key hanger and opened the door.

My eyes almost fell out of my eyes.
I couldn't believe what i was seeing. The person in front of me looked shocked as same as me.

What the hell is she doing here?

I tightened the door knob and looked to her with narrow eyes. She looked surprised as me and her eyes said something else which I couldn't define because my gaze went to the person next to her.

I stopped breathing for a second.

>>What the...<<, I opened the mouth to say something but it felt like my chin hit the floor.

Hails eyes crossed mine and I saw only one thing.

Broken eyes.

Her usual luckily shiny eyes were gone. I was nearly to break the door knob but hold my anger in. I made a step to take her inside but she passed me and went straight upstairs.
