Chapter 4

Awsten's POV

It's been 2 days after our encounter with Otto and can I just say, it's really weird walking past a semi ghost in your own home, just putting it out there.

I decided to go to the library to go and find some old books with some stuff on ghosts that the internet might not have. I said bye to Geoff, I don't know where Otto was but I left.

I hopped into Geoff's car and drove myself to the library. It wasn't busy when I got there. I looked around for a good 10 minutes until I found something. There was a whole goddamn section for the paranormal and I was sitting through letters G and P for ghosts and poltergeists when I could have just went to that fricken section. Damn. I suck at life.

I found a book that was literally titled Ghosts and Poltergeists. Well then, that was lucky. I began to have a gander and it was a decent book, there was sections on types of ghosts, what they do, how they live and looooaaadddssss more.

I decided to borrow it for a bit. When I got to the librarian to sign it out she gave me a really strange look ?? Judgy much hen. Aaaaanyway, I made my way to Geoff's car and drove my ass back home to have a read of the book.

As soon as I walked in I saw Geoff playing Mario Kart and Otto watching him intensely while also intensely eating Doritos. It's really weird walking into a room that has a slightly translucent human in it.

"Trying to level up to beat me ey" I teased Geoff.

"Says the one who lost 17 games in a row last week" he smirked. I gave him a blank expression and took a seat beside Otto on the other couch.

"What's that?" Otto asked.

"Oh, it's a book on ghosts and poltergeists" I answered but stopped when I saw Otto staring at me with a 'seriously' expression on his face.

"What?" I broke the silence, minus the little Mario noises Geoff's game was making.

"I can read, it literally says 'Ghosts and Poltergeists' on the front cover you dimwit" he spoke with a smile.

"Wow. Okay, Your were the one that asked what it was." I laughed.

"I meant what was inside" he added.

"I don't know, words? I wanted to find out some more about you and your kind so I went to the library" I explained.

"Is that why you took my car" Geoff chimed in.

"Yeah" I laughed.

I went into the kitchen to fetch a snack . I looked around and grabbed a big KitKat bar and some orange juice in a glass. Otto was right in-front of me looking at the book when I turned around causing me to drop my KitKat and almost spill my orange juice.

I picked up my KitKat and put it on the side with the orange juice while placing my hand on my heart.

"Jesus fucking Christ. Don't do that" I said.

"Whoops, sorry, I'm not used to this. Anyway this is a really fact filled book about ghosts, where did you say you got it again ??" He spoke.

"The library?" I replied.

"Cool" he said.

"So it's legit then" I questioned.

"Yeah, these are very accurate facts. I want to know who wrote this" he added.

"Bro, it says it on the front" I suggested.

"Oh yeah....hmmm. Of course!! It's Ian Visor"

"Who's that" Geoff joined in while walking through the kitchen door frame thing that doesn't actually have a door in it.

"You guys don't know who Ian Visor is?" We both simultaneously shook are heads.

"Oh my god" he sighed.

"He's the only guy in the world who, well, basically rose from the dead, so he wrote a book about his experience and facts about the paranormal world" he explained.

"Well damn" I said.

"Oh yeah, I've heard of him before" Geoff added.

"What the fuck, when" I turned to him.

"I watch weird videos on YouTube" he spoke in monotone.

"Fair enough pal, fair enough" I patted him on the shoulder a few times.

"I wonder if we could meet this guy and bring him here to talk to you Otto, do you know anything about him like where he lives or at least the country he lives in" I asked.

"He's in his 80's or 90's or maybe 70's, but he could be dead. I have no clue where abouts he lives, probably America" he paused "or maybe Russia" he added" me and Geoff looked at each other "The UK?" He kept going.

"How the fuck did you get from America to Russia to the U.K.?" Geoff questioned.

"Honestly I have no clue"

"Well this was a great help, I'm gonna go upstairs now, bye" I waved off and left.

I walked up to my bedroom and laid down on my bed to have a read at the book. The first thing I read was the types of ghost. There was the 2 main ones; Full and half, I went straight onto the half one because obviously Otto is only half a ghost somehow.

It said that if there is a half ghost they can do many more things a full ghost can like become visible to living creatures e.g humans. They can also touch and move objects but are not strong enough to actually possess them whereas full ghosts are.

They can only leave the place they 'died' in or at for an hour unless they have their special object with them or near them, then it will add on another 4 hours adding up to the maximum of 5 hours of being away from their 'death' place, before they faint of exhaustion.

Their special object is an object that either, they care about and love so much or something to do with their death, it can only be one thing though, if this object brakes or gets destroyed they'll gain another special object of something of the above again. So basically if this object goes missing we're screwed, that's fun.

Pheewwwww, that was a lot to take in.

(A/N Just got notified that school won't be on tomorrow because apparently there is gonna be a lot of snow, frick yeah XD xxxx)
