Her Birthday

So, it was her 40th birthday.
Well, Ira is a very shy kind of person and is not quite social enough. So, we celebrated together alone, but it was fun. I bought a chocolate flavoured cake with her name written on it.

"Come, Ira.. blow the candles," I said. She blew the candles and cut the cake. I was singing the happy birthday song & clapping.
She was just smiling, "open your mouth," she said and put a piece of cake into my mouth.
I took another piece and put into her mouth, cheeks, necks, nose & everywhere in her face. Hehe,
her whole face was full of cream & now she did the same thing to me.
Haha, we both were laughing. She was really very happy that day.
"I wish if our parents could here be with us, they would have been very happy after seeing that we are living so happily together," I said.
"Hmm," she replied in a low voice.
She became upset as usual as whenever I used to talk about her parents or something personal like that she becomes sad, so I too don't like to talk much about them with her. But I can't control my emotions, whatever comes to my mind I just say that without even thinking twice.

The romantic mood was slowly vanishing, I suddenly changed the topic.
"Hey, these mushroom cutlets are really awesome," I said.
"Really ?".
"Of course my darling," I said and took a cutlet & put in her mouth.
She just smiled.
She was looking very pretty & I was simply just looking into her beautiful eyes. But, sometimes I just used to wonder that how her appearance didn't change, she is not ageing at all. Means just look at me, I have started having white hairs and wrinkles on my face, but she didn't get any significant change. She looked same as I met her 20 years before for the first time. I thought maybe, the secret behind her beauty would be her well-maintained diet and daily exercises. I didn't pay much attention to it at that time.

We ate together, my mood and the environment became more romantic. She was too looking at me very graciously, I lifted her and took her to the bedroom.

"Ira, its been 20 years now since we meet," I said
"Ohh dear you remember," she said and we kissed each other.
"Of course darling, how could I ever forget this day".
"You know Naksh, today is one of the happiest days of my life,".
"I know dear," I replied.
"Good night sweetheart,".
"Good night Naksh, sweet dreams", said Ira.

Though she was very happy, but was very tired too, so she slept.
But it was really a very strange thing that whenever I used to ask about her parents or her past, she used to get upset. I thought maybe the reason could be that we lived together, even though our parents never agreed. But we didn't marry & just decided to live together.

I switched off the lights.. closed my eyes & slept without thinking much about it.
