Meeting With Client

'Tring... tring...', the alarm bell rang.
I woke up & switched the bell off. It was a very fresh morning, the pristine rays of the sun were descending on my face from the glass window. Ira was still sleeping. I didn't wake her, cause last night she was really very tired, so I let her sleep.

I got up from the bed, went to the bathroom & had a warm bath.
Aahh, I was really feeling very relaxed and calm. But, I took more than half an hour in the bath.
I was getting late for my office. I went to the bedroom.
"Where is Ira?," I said.
She wasn't there in the bed.

'Naksh..' a noise came from the dining room. It was Ira there, "breakfast is ready," she said.
"Wow dear, you are so fast," I replied.

Whenever I am getting late for the office, I don't really need to worry much about, cause Ira takes care of everything.
But still, I started eating the food haphazardly.
"Slowly dear, you have enough time to reach your office, you will get there in time, don't worry," she said.
"I know dear, but I have a very important meeting today with a very special client, I have to reach on time,".
I finished the breakfast as fast as I could.
"Ok dear I'm getting late, bubye sweetheart," I said & kissed her.
"Bye, take care" she replied.

I went hurriedly. "Damn! I can't miss the bus today," I started running to the bus stop. Fortunately, the bus was standing right there, "aah.., thank god I got in time,".

I was on the bus, my mobile rang up, it was Jatin.
"Where are you, Naksh?".
"I'm on the way," I replied.
"Come fast, we can't miss the meeting today," he said.
"Ya, I'm just there,".
"Ok, make it quick," he replied & disconnected the call.

Jatin is my colleague, we both have been working together since for 18 years. He too didn't get married in life and lives alone.

I reached my office. Jatin was already standing there in front of the main gate & was waiting for me.
"Come on man lets go" he yelled at me.
"Wait wait, coming" I replied.
We went upstairs, at the meeting hall. Well, everything had gone smoothly, we were very happy.

"Ahh.., you were awesome Naksh, well done," Jatin said.
"Thanks, come let's get a cup of coffee,".
"Oh sure, why not" he replied.

Whenever we get tired of work, we hang out at 'Wake Up Cafe' it is an Italian coffee shop, just next to our office building. We reached there and ordered a cup of Vienna & Affogato, the latter was his favourite & the former was mine.

"So, how's all going?" Jatin said.
"Ya, everything's alright, you say how's your life going, living all alone, don't you feel bored?".
"Who told you I'm alone, my books are my companion, whenever I feel depressed or lonely, I just read them & in return they don't ask me to get a diamond necklace or something kind of that for them,".
"Haha, that's true, ahh.. there it came, our coffees," I said.
He took his cup of Affogato & I my Vienna. "Cheers," we said.

We didn't have any work after that at the office, so I planned to take Ira out for dinner.
"Ok Jatin, I got to go early today,".
"Why, something special?" he asked.
"Ya.., I'm just thinking to take Ira out for dinner,".
"Well, that's awesome, you both enjoy then, see you," he replied.
"Ya, see you soon, bubye,".
