Chapter 11

I woke up and looked at my phone. There was a ton of notifications. I looked at the Instagram notifications first.
I was shocked when I saw I had gotten over 300,000 followers over night. Then I remembered I got nominated for a Oscar which is amazing.
Then I go on Snapchat and snap back to some fans. It's always funny to see their reactions.
I look through my text and see I have one from a random number.

"Hello this is Shawn Billon I work for the oscars Would you like to open up for the oscars and do a musical opening"
Well that's a big question I thought.
I need to talk to my mom and dad about this really quick.
I got out of bed and went to the kitchen of my house. I look at my mom and she screams "oh Maggie I knew you were amazing I just knew it" my mom practically screamed.
I gave my mom a huge smile and ran to hug here which my dad sees and joins in.
"Mom I have a huge thing that's gonna happen at the oscars too" I said.
"Yes honey anything" my mom said. "Well I Said a man contacted me and said that he wants me to do the musical opening for the oscars" I said.
"Honey that's amazing" my dad said hearing me.
"Ya I know but I don't know if I can take it" I said sitting on a kitchen chair.
"You are beautiful and have a beautiful voice" my dad said kneeling next to me.
I smiled at my dad and my mom gives me a large hug.
"You can do this" my mom said you are amazing" she said.
"Your right I can do this" I said. I walked back upstairs and grabbed my phone and texted the man
Me:"I would love that tell me everything"
Shawn: " yes we would love to have the greatest showman song in the oscars opening"
I can do that I thought but all of the people have such strong good voices.
Me: "yes I can do it what song"
Shawn: " we would love to have you do never enough"
I think that would be a good song for me I thought.
"Yes I would love to do that song" I texted back to Shawn.
Shawn: great we will see you soon"
I needed to now listen to that song constantly I thought.
Will do it later I thought and went back on to Instagram.
I saw all of the stranger things cast post pictures of me and them saying congratulations on them.
I responded with a bunch of ❤️ and 😘.
I decided to FaceTime Sadie. I clicked on her contact and it started ringing. A few seconds later I saw her face.
"Hey girl" I said looking at my red headed friend.
"Ahh that's so exciting Mag" she said. "I know I'm nominated" I said.
"Hey a person from the Oscars who works there or something contacted me and he saw me singing from vid con and he wants me to do the opening act at the oscars and I'm so nervous" I said all in one breath.
"What that's amazing" Sadie said. "I know it's amazing but it's so nerve racking" I said.
"What song are you suppose to sing" she said.
"They want me to sing never enough from the greatest showman" I said. "That's a big song" Sadie said.
"Girl I know and I'm so nervous" I said.
"You will do fine I have to go to this buzz feed interview bye love ya" she said.
"Bye love you too" I said and hung up.
Maggie you can do this I thought.
You know what we're gonna get some coffee and you have to go to a interview today so let's do that.
I got dressed and walked over to my mom.
"Mom we gotta go" I said and walked out to the car.
She walked out after me and we pulled out of the drive way
We arrived at a set of E. I walked out and into the station giving my mom a hug.
I look around me and see only one person I know and it's Finn.
"Hey Finn" I scream at him. He runs over to me and gives me a big hug "congrats on the nomination" he says. "Thanks" I said giving him a smile.
"Are we doing the interview together" I asked.
"Ya I'm pretty sure" he said.
We made our way to two chairs sitting right in front of a huge stranger things poster.
I see a really famous E girl Maria meneous (I have no idea how to spell her name so sorry if it's wrong)
I sit down first and then Finn.
She does a little opening saying "hello everybody I'm Maria and I have here today is Maggie and Finn from stranger things."
I wave at the camera and she reads a note card out of her hand.
"Finn who is the funniest person in the cast" the girl asked.
"Well I have to say the whole cast is hilarious but Noah is the funniest" he said.
She then leads on to me. "Maggie what do you think about being nominated for a Oscar" she said.
I thought about it for a second and then said "Well I was very shocked when I heard the news and I am really happy that everyone loved me and I have this Great opportunity being so young" I said.
She then moves on to Finn again. "Finn who eats the most on the cast" she asked.
He immediately looks at me and I laugh. "Defiantly Maggie cause she will always be eating something like this one time at comic con she ate huge tray of McDonald's French fries" he said.
"Ok I love food I'm constantly eating" I said putting my hands up like I'm surrendering.
She laughs and then moves on too another question. "Maggie what is one thing that nobody knows about you" the lady ask.
"Well only Sadie knows this not even Finn so your getting a real reaction out of him" I said and then hesitated for a second and then said "Well I'm gonna be doing the opening music act for the oscars" I said.
"WHAT" Finn said looking at me astonished. "Yep" I said smiling at him. "That's amazing" he said.
"Can you tell us anything else about this performance" Maria ask. "I don't think I can you'll have to wait and see." I said to the lady.
"Alrighty then" Maria said and asked us a few more questions.
The interview finally ended and I went home.
I sat on the couch and looked at my phone. I looked at a picture and it was of Gaten and this girl and they were kissing and it wasn't me.
I could feel my eyes start to water it felt like my world had come crashing down. I ran up to my room fearing my parents would see me.
I called Millie.
"Hello" Millie said happily.
"Millie" I said crying. "What's wrong" Millie asked.
"Gaten" I said and then Millie kept talking to me and said that I needed to call him now and then she hung up.
I really didn't want to call him. A sense of anger ran threw my body.
I called his number. "Hey Maggie" he said.
"Gaten how could you" I said I was pissed.
"Maggie It's not what you think" he said.
"Am I ever gonna be enough for you" I said.
"No maggie wait" he said and I hung up.
Then something hit me did that song just predict my future.
Then another thought came over me and it said Maggie that is the dumbest thing you have ever thought.
Hey guys this was a long chapter sorry there hasn't been one in like 3 days. I love you all very much.
