Chapter 1

JASMINE...

I woke up to screaming... I jumped out of my bed and ran downstairs. My step dad was beating my mom...  "SAM!!! STOP!!!!" I screamed... this is shocking! He would never lay a finger on my mom! He just kept going. I grabbed a bat... "SAM STOP!!! BEFORE I HIT YOU!!" I cried. He stopped my mom was knocked out unconscious... "out!" I whimpered... this hurt... my dad is a loveable... quiet person... he'd never hit her! "Get the fuck outta here!" He snapped and pushed me "I said get out" I screamed. No one... and I mean no one... lays a finger on my mom.

Katelynn

I woke up. My stomach was growling. My mom and dad were arguing. I walked downstairs and went into the kitchen. Nothing... last night we didn't have dinner because we barely have money and my dad keeps spending it on beer. I walked next door and knocked on Jasmines door. She opened she had a black and blue eye. I gasped she looked down and nodded. "Hungry?" She whimpered. I nodded she let me in. Her mom had the same thing but more marks on her. We grabbed food and went into her room. Aisha climbed up to the window and got in.

Jasmine, Aisha and me have horrible life's... we just wanna run away but we're to young... we're 14... we've been best friends since 1st grade. We love each other so much.

Aisha

My dad just got done beating me... for nothing. He lost his job...  lost my mom... she left us... and I hate her for it. I climbed up to Jasmine's window. We all sat on the bed... and started crying.  "What the fuck is wrong with us?" Jas cried she had a black and blue eye... "I don't know..." I whimpered. We group hugged. "I love you guys" Kat cried. "Love you to" me and jas cried. We all have the same thing going on... it sucks!

Jasmine

I walked into the school and went to my locker. I got pushed against it. "Hey baby" Andrew chuckled. Andrew... my supposedly 'boyfriend' I don't like him... he scares me. "Hhey" I stuttered. He put his forehead on mine "I'm coming over your house later..." he whispered then kissed me. I nodded and then went back to my locker. He slapped my ass. I whimpered and grabbed my books. He took them from me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and walked me to class. I walked in and Anthony smiled at me. Now... Anthony... I have a huge crush on him. He's so sweet! He makes me smile at hard times... he lives across the street from me... we hang out all the time.

I smiled back. "Hey! Wanna hang after school!?" He asked I nodded "you don't have to ask dummy!!" I laughed he smiled "didn't you and Andrew break up?" He asked. "Can I trust you?" I asked he nodded. "He's not really my boyfriend... he just uses me" I said looking down Anthony took my hand "he what!?" He asked "he uses me" I said looking into his eyes. He caressed my cheek. "If you were with me.. baby I wouldn't use you" he whispered then did the unthinkable... he kissed me... the best kiss I ever had. "What the fuck is this!" Andrew yelled. I pushed Anthony off me. "Nnothing" I whimpered.

"I kissed her! And?" Anthony snapped "what you say nigga! She my girl!" Andrew snapped.

Aisha.

"Ew she's so ugly!" I heard a girl whisper. I knew they were talking about me. I get bullied all the time. I hate it!! "She got a mustache" another said. "Ew! Look at her shoes! Looks like she got them shits from fuckin family mart!" Another laughed. I sat down in the back of the class next to Ambiance and Elexandria. They smiled. "Hey girl!" Ambi giggled I smiled "hi" I yawned. I didn't get any sleep last night because I had to watch my baby brother. Sucked.

Kat

I sat down and everybody came running to me "hey Katelynn! Do you have the answers for the homework!?" One of the girls asked... yeah... they use me for my brains... I hate it. "Um... I don't actually" I said getting it out. "Can you help me!?" She asked I looked down and nodded. I hate it to. I wish I had the guts to tell them and everyone else no....
