Talia's POV

I was currently sitting on my bed with my bags packed by the door debating on if I'm actually going to get on that plane to North Carolina. I've been giving myself pep talks ever since I bought the ticket, but now that the day is actually here I don't know how to feel. I was going to go by myself while the girls stayed here with my best friend Ashton. We met in college in New York and both moved to L.A. to get more modeling opportunities. She has definitely been there for me in my darkest times and I know for a fact that she will always have my back. I filled her in with what had gone on these few weeks when I dropped off the girls. I told my grandmothers that I would come see them when I had the girls with me.

I already made the first step in buying the ticket, so I might as well get on the plane right? No use in wasting money.

Just then I got a text from Taedra.

Taedra: I'm so excited to see my baby sister! Can't wait until you get here!

Well, I couldn't let my big sister down could I? All I could at this point was pray.

Once I arrived at the airport, I went through security and was currently waiting for my flight to be called. I splurged and got a seat in first class. I felt that I deserved it with all that has been going on. Would my parents be happy to see me? I already know Taedra will be. I was taken away from my thoughts when a call from Steph came through.

"Hey." I answered while sighing.

"Hey princess, you on the plane yet? Or better yet did you even make it to the airport?" Steph knows me entirely too well.

"Well, I did make it to the airport and I am currently waiting for my flight to be called. I plan on getting plenty of alcohol throughout the duration of this trip." Red Sangria was definitely a fave.

"It might go better than you think Talia." I simply sighed.

"I sure hope it does. But, enough about me. How is my favorite warrior?"

"Tired, but good. I have a game in a few hours."

"Well rest up. I'll call you when I get there. Can't believe you guys are in the playoffs already."

"I know, this season went by fast. I'll talk to you later."

"Okay."

I was playing on my phone when I heard my flight being called for first class to board. Looks like that's me. Once settled, I told Ashton, Steph, and Taedra I was on the plane. I decided to go to sleep since I didn't get much from staying up all night being anxious and worrying. It's now or never and I need to make the best of it. If it doesn't go how I want it then so be it. I have my sister, best friend, daughters, and now Steph.

I've been doing it this long without her so it really wouldn't phase me. I feel that I was closer to my dad, but sometimes he would side with my mom about things that concerned comparing me to Taedra and I definitely couldn't stand that. I don't care what parents say, they have a favorite child and my parents' favorite is Taedra. You cannot convince me otherwise.

Once I landed it felt so surreal. I was back home finally after so long since it's been awhile since I've seen Taedra and my grandparents. I found all of my belongings and was going to the pick up area where Taedra said she would be. I forgot how big this airport was and luckily I wore my Puma slippers so I could be comfortable. Once in the outside area, I saw Taedra making her way towards me.

"Ahhh! You're here!!!" She exclaimed while bringing me into a hug.

"It's so good to see you." I responded while she was holding onto me for dear life.
