Stephen's POV

It's been about a week since I saw Talia and my daughters for the first time in eleven years... wow MY daughters. I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying that. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around everything that has happened and I know I want to do my best to try to make this work. My love for Talia never faded and I'm happy that we found each other again. I haven't really talked to my mom since she called me that day and I know I need to talk to her soon. It's like I understand her side to a certain extent, wanting to protect me, but keeping me from my kids is on a whole different level. Me and Talia have been talking and we're deciding when to tell the girls. More than likely it will happen when the season is over. I was currently at practice and it was becoming difficult to keep my mind from wandering back to them.

"Yo, Steph who was that girl at the game you were talking to the other day?" Klay came over and asked before attempting to shoot a three. A smile immediately appeared on my face.

"My ex-girlfriend well now again girlfriend Talia and her.... well, my twin girls." I responded and Klay's eyes went wide.

"Wait a minute, what? You want to run that one by me again?"

"Look don't say anything, but Me and Talia were together ever since we were 14 and 15 known her since I was 4. She got pregnant when she was 17, I was eighteen but I never knew. She disappeared off the face of the earth until I found her instagram and started talking to her again. Come to find out I have two kids that I didn't know about until almost three weeks ago." I confessed while trying to keep my voice down so no one would overhear us.

"How do you know they're yours? Do you think she's telling the truth? I mean you need to get a DNA test."

"I know it's true because my mom is the one who told her not to tell me and to stay far away from me so she wouldn't mess up my career. I could only imagine the look on Talia's face when she told her that. They were really close, she looked at her like a second mother."

"Well, damn. I didn't know your mom was like that."

"Me either, apparently. I'm still mad at her, I just... I've missed out on so much and I feel as though if I would have been there Talia wouldn't have had to struggle so much like she did. Like I'm almost 30, if I hadn't found her instagram I don't even know if she would have ever told me or my mom."

"You have to make the best of it now. Unfortunately, you can't change the past no matter how much you want to. You still need to do a DNA test."

"I will. I already know my mom won't let me get past that one. More than likely Talia would want me to do it too to prove to everyone that it's true."

"She's fine though. Isn't she a model?"

"Yeah, she is. I think she told me she has a photo shoot today with Fashion Nova Curve. She's been making it happen even though I don't see how she does it. The girls told me they look at her as superwoman."

"Well whenever y'all get everything together I want to meet her and your daughters."

"Yeah and I think your Taelynn's favorite player and not me." I said scrunching up my face and Klay responded by smirking.

"What's the other ones name?"

"Taina. All T's like Talia and her sister and mother."

"So do they know you're....?"

"Their father? No. Me and Talia are probably going to wait until the season is over to tell them. That way I can spend more time with them in L.A. since that's where they live."

"You haven't seen this girl since you were eighteen, but you're talking about her like time didn't even pass." Klay noted and we finally took a seat on the side of the court.
