 2.

A Bad Start

That morning I woke up with some sticky stuff on my face. I went and washed it off in the lake, Fiona walked up to me

"What's up?" she asked,

"Oh, I'm just washing off this sticky stuff of my face."

"Hmmm..." she said, "I saw Ash and her friends near your tent-"

"That is IT" I yelled as I stomped over to the house, I burst through the door with Fiona close behind me, I was probably as surprised to see her as she was to see me. "Balthazar!" I shouted, "We need to talk!"

"Why?" he asked

"It's about her," I said as I pointed to Ash,

"What did I do?" she asked, anger in her voice.

"Yes, you did," I said trying to sound calm.

 "Cosmo, let's go talk, okay," said Balthazar, with a calm voice.

"Okay," I said.

As we were walking out of the room, I turned and looked at Ash, it probably a bad idea, but I did, and she stuck her tongue out at me, her tongue. 'Ugg' I thought. I turned and quickly walked out of the room.

"So Cosmo, what happened? I heard Ash was causing trouble, but I didn't think it was that bad," said Balthazar

"Well, first Ahs came up to me yesterday and bumped me, and I was pretty sure that she was laughing at me, and then this morning I woke up with this sticky stuff on my face, Fiona told me that she saw Ash and her friends near my tent, I am not blaming her for this sticky stuff on my face, but I suspect something from her."

"Hmmmm..." Balthazar "I'll talk to her tonight, okay?"

"Okay," I said, and I walked out of the room. 

"What happened in there?" asked Fiona,

"Well... he said that he would talk to her tonight, but she stuck her tongue out at me!" I said

"Let's go swimming, it's a beautiful morning," said Fiona

"Okay, but first I want to see Marley and Bella," I said,

"Okay," said Fiona she lead me to the infirmary, as we walked in we saw Tom hovering over someone talking, it was Tom's little sister, Flower,

"What happened to her?" I asked

"She was sword fighting and almost got her arm chopped off, by accident. It was a huge cut. It was bleeding like crazy. I almost drained my power to stop her from dying. It stopped bleeding now, but she is still to weal to get up. she lost a lot of blood. It's a blessing that she is still alive." said Fiona

Flower was only 8, but like her brother, she was a really good at sword fighting.

"Ouch," I said

"There," said Fiona, and she pointed at two girls laying in beds, talking to each other.

"Hi, I'm Cosmo," I said

"I'm Marley," said a girl with bright red hair,

"And I'm Bella." said the girl with hair that looked like fog.

"Yesterday we got attacked by a dragon coming here," said Marley

"Yeah I know, I was the one who got its attention," I said

"Cool," said Bella,

"Not cool, she almost got killed too," said Marley 

"It's okay," I said and Bella who looked 8 or 10, and Marley who looked maybe 12 or 13, and she smiled at me.

"I'll see you guy later," I said

"Okay bye!" they both shouted behind me, I looked back land saw them giving each other a dirty look.

"Come on!!" shouted Fiona who already had her swim clothes on, she must have slipped out of the infirmary while I was talking to Marley and Bella,

"Okay, okay, I'm coming," I said running to my tent to get my swim clothes on, when I got them on, Fiona was waiting outside of my tent hopping around, she loves swimming. We went to the lake running as fast as we could, Fiona kept hopping like she was trying to fly, but was remembering that she didn't have wings. As we came around the corner we saw Ash and her friends swimming in the spot we were going to, we turned around as fast as we could and ran to our secret spot near the two biggest trees in camp. Nobody knows where this spot is, except me and Fiona. 

 "Should we show this spot to Marley and Bella?" asked Fiona

"No, this is our spot." I said, "We can find another spot."

"Yeah, you're right," said Fiona

Now this lake is fun but it's also really dangerous, in the middle there is this hole that's always sucking up water, but there is a river that is always flowing into the lake, so it's always full, so there is kind of a strong current in the middle, but on the sides there isn't much of a current, you can still swim in five feet or less but if you go any deeper, like five feet, then the current is really strong, and it's really scary.

"HELP!!!" screamed a girl close to the middle, it was Ash,

"Oh, boy," I said,

"Go help her! You know that I can't!" yelled Fiona 

"I'm coming!!" I shouted over the sucking sound. I swam over to Ash, "Hold on to me," I said, "But don't drown me, you'll have to swim too."

As we swam to shore I saw Ash's friends staring at me,

"Hi," I said

"Ummm... thanks?" said one of her friends. When I got Ash to shore she started coughing,

"Thanks..." she said weakly,

"You're welcome, just next time stay away from the middle. Okay?" I said 

"Okay. Why?" she asked

"Balthazar wants to talk to you tonight. So you can ask him then." I said.
