I open my eyes slowly, and sit up. I look around confusion clouding my vision. I feel a sting in my cheek and I trace the cut. When did I get that? I was with-

"Holly!" I yell jumping out of bed. I run out of the room, throwing the door open. I run into a hard chest and am pulled into a hug.

"Bria, how are you feeling?" Travis asks me.

"Where is Holly?" I ask frantically fighting his embrace.

"She is in the morgue." He whispers.

"Let me go, I need to see her." I say while tears fall down my face.

"Fine," he whispers. His arms release me, but he takes my hand. He leads me down a hallway and a flight of stairs. The temperature drops as he opens a large door. I step inside, my breath catching in my throat. My footsteps echo in the large room. I pass many bodies covered with a white sheet, before my eyes fall on an uncovered body. She is still wearing her bloody clothes and her body is pale. Her face is serene, as if she was just sleeping. I reach my fingers out and tentatively touch her cheek. Her skin is cold and hard, it doesn't have her usual youthful glow.

"How could I let this happen to you?" I whisper. I take a step closer and feel tears rolling down my cheeks. Her placid face held no emotion, and her face looked empty without her smile. Her lips still had dry blood and a few drops had slid down her cheek. The blood is a dark brown color as it had dried. Her fingers curled from the cold, and her hair was a frizzy mess. "How could I let this happen to you? You are so innocent, so pure." I shake my head. I bend over her body, looking closely at her slightly wrinkled skin. A tear fell, falling onto her cheek. It rolled off the side of her face, making a soft tink as it landed on the metal table she is laying on. "Nine years old, nine years of running, nine years of fear. How much fear have I instilled into your pure heart? How much fear poisoned your blood?" I ask as another tears fell from my face onto hers. "How long have you feared me?" I ask. "You knew what I was capable of, you knew even before Kurt told you." I step away wiping my face. "How did I let this happen?" I heard the soft sound of fingernails scraping against the metal. I open my eyes and see nothing. I furrow my brow and take a step closer to Holly. I see the slight twitch of her finger. Her fingernails again scraped against the metal. I gasp and take another step closer. "Holly?" I ask. Her eyes shoot open and she lets out an ear piercing scream.

I might have gone a little overboard describing the body, but I really wanted to set the scene and show how sad the sight is. Nothing is sadder than losing someone you love, especially if they are young. So what do you think happened to Holly? Is she really alive? Or am I just bing mean??
