After everyone ate, James and Cecily went on their date. Soon, everyone had to go home until it was just the boys left. They were left with cleaning up the house and Aaron noticed that Chad hadn't spoken much that day. He walked over to Chad who was grabbing some stray beer cans and said, "Are you okay?"

Chad jumped and looked over at Aaron. "Yeah," he said, smiling. "Why wouldn't I be?" Aaron raised his eyebrows and Chad's face fell. "I'm sorry for lying. It's just that Cecily and I had a fight about her and James."

"Ah," Aaron said.

"Yeah. And now she hasn't spoken to me since then. I don't know what to do. We're leaving tomorrow and I have to be with James the whole time."

"Are you jealous?" Aaron asked.

"A little. I haven't got to spend a lot of time with her recently," Chad said.

"That's totally understandable but she . . . she has her own life as well. We are just all here together for a short period of time but each of us play an important impact on each other. And I know how much you care for her but maybe you should start getting out more. Go on dates. Try new things. Maybe that'll help," Aaron suggested, trying not to hurt Chad's feelings.

"Maybe."

Aaron smiled at his best friend and continued cleaning up. Even though what Aaron said made sense, Chad was still sad. First, his biological parents left him as a baby and how his sister. At least he will be doing what he loved in the next couple of weeks.

Chad woke up because his bladder was killing him. He hopped out of his bed and stumbled to the bathroom. He turned on the light and looked in the mirror. Chad screamed when he saw his reflection. He was blonde now!

"Chad?"

The door opened to reveal his sister.

"Cecily, how did this happen?" Chad asked before common sense hit him. "What are you even doing here? Oh no." He pointed to a red spot on her neck. "You didn't. Please tell me you didn't. I'm gonna be am uncle, aren't I? But I'm too young to be am uncle! What were you thinking Cecily?"

Ceciy grabbed Chad's hands and said, "Did you forget I had an allergic reaction to the peanuts in my dinner? This is just the remnants of it, Chad. I didn't have sex with James. And that's not even your business. God, it's my love life. Can't you stay out of it?"

"Cecily-"

"Chad, stop and think before you talk. Anyways, I was just talking to James the whole night. That's it. And what were you doing? Did you get drunk and bleach your hair?"

Chad nodded. "I think I wanted to look like Pup," he said before the night rushed back to him. He was supposed to be mad at his sister. "Then what are you still doing here?" he asked, turning sway from her.

"Chad," she said, "I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I-I know you had it rough when you were younger, going through the foster system and stuff like that. I know all you want in this life is someone to love you and for you to love them back. And I'm here for you. And so is the other boys, even James. But you gotta know that I'm an adult - older than you, might I say - and I have my own life to manage."

Chad nodded, still not looking at her. "Dude, I love you. You were my first best friend and will be my last," Cecily said, pulling him into a hug. "I'm still here, Chad. James hasn't taken my whole life. My life wouldn't matter to me if you weren't in it."

Chad turned to her and he smiled weakly. "Thanks sis," he said. A tear rolled down his cheek and he wiped it away. "I love you too. And thanks for that. I knew you loved me. You actually have a heart."

Cecily smiled. "That's the brother I know." She noticed that he still had tears in his eyes. "Do you want me to sleep with you? It could be like when we were younger and you always came to my room because you had some bad nightmares; I would hug you and gently run my hand through your hair until you fell asleep."

Chad smiled, actually smiled, at his sister. "I would like that," he said, nodding.

"Good." She smiled at him. "Anyway, why are you awake at two in the morning?"

"Having a mini pity party for myself. Pup was in here but he left a long time ago." Chad laughed. "I just got up to go to the bathroom, actually. Which I still have to go if you don't mind."

"Yep. Definitely leaving. I'll be in your room," Cecily said with her hands raised.

"See you in a minute."

James was wide awake; he had heard Chad scream but he didn't want to go talk. He recently felt like Chad wasn't very . . . happy for him and Cecily. James was sad because his best friend was distancing himself from him. He just wished Chad would talk to him, not stay away from him. That was why he sent Cecily to go talk to him. She was supposed to report back to him but so far, nothing. He got up and stepped into the hallway. He looked inside Chad's room to see Cecily holding Chad. She waved to him and pointed to Chad. "Got it," James murmured. James waved back before going to his room.

He laid in his bed but he couldn't go to sleep. He ran a hand through his hair and grabbed the guitar that was always by his bed. He started strumming it and a melody popped into his head. He couldn't play it like he wanted it so he went to Bert's room. James knocked on the door before entering. "Bert," he whispered.

"What?" Bert looked up at James with confusion on his face. "Is it time to go already? I just went to sleep."

James laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Not exactly. It's about two in the morning and I have a melody in my head but I can't play it like I want it to sound. I thought you could help me."

"Give me your guitar." James handed Bert the guitar. "Now tell me exactly how it's going on in your mind."

James did as Bert said and waited for him to play. "Is this how you wanted it to sound?" Bert asked, looking at James.

He grabbed his phone and started recording what Bert was playing. "That's exactly how I wanted it sound," James said. It sounded sweet, something that people who were in love could understand what was going on with the song. Bert played until the end of what James told him. He could make a song out of it . . . a duet.
