"[SLASH]"

I thought I hadn't put a scratch in the tree since it didn't fall over like Master's did (I was told to call Ben Master). I looked down with disappointment. Maybe I wasn't meant to learn magic like everyone else. Maybe Ben didn't read my stats very well or made a mistake, I mean he is an old man, and everyone make mistakes.

"Wait! Look!!" Sara shouted. I looked up at the tree in front of me. It was slowly sliding off its trunk along with a few trees behind it. Master looked in surprise.  I looked over at Master and Sara and smiled giving them a thumbs up.

[Skill(s) Obtained] - [Mana control[ (passive) - [Slash] (active)

I started getting dizzy, then everything went dark.

When I opened my eyes I didn't see anything. I couldn't feel anything. I didn't feel like I was lying down or standing up. I felt like I was floating. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move... I was alone. A small transparent window appeared in front of me.

[LEVEL UP!]

Name - _____ Level - 2 Occupation -  ????

"hey! Hey! HEY!" a voice was gradually getting louder. "Wake up boy!"

I woke up with a shake. Sara was kneeling over me with a concerned look.

"I'm... I'm ok. What happened?" I looked at the Sara, Sara looked at Master Ben.  I looked around and saw I was inside the shack again.

"You used most over your Mana when using slash. I only expected you to use a little bit but I was very surprised at how much you released. You used 90 percent of your Mana to cut 15 trees."

"15 trees?! I thought I only cut less than 5?!" I was shocked.

"You fainted from Mana Depletion before the rest fell. Sara take him out for a walk while I think about some things." Master seemed displeased. I stood up and walked towards the door. "Sara, make sure he comes back."

While I waited outside for Sara I looked around. I never really paid any attention to my surroundings. The wooded area was secluded from any other civilization. I noticed the trees were tall and the trunks were thick. I would have thought it was impossible to cut them down if I hadn't done it myself. Sara snapped me back to reality.

"Hey, lets go.' Sara turned and started walking through the trees. I jogged to catch up with her. I never really looked at Sara and she was very beautiful. She has black hair and beautiful blue eyes. she had a very nice body and .... Continuing on.

Sara broke the silence. "You know, you never told us your name. What is it?" I stopped in my track, remembering the window that appeared before. I don't remember the occupation and the level was unimportant to me. I paid most attention to the name. It was blank.

I had no name....

"I don't have one..." as I continued walking. Sara then stopped as if she was thinking. "Kuta..." I stopped and turned around. "What?" She looked up at me and smiled. "I think your name should be Kuta"

"Cue - ta. That's how you pronounce it right? .... Kuta." I smiled. "I like it"  I smiled. I really liked my name. I was happy she had given me a name. We walked until we reached a waterfall.

"I come here every so often when I need time to myself. This is our bathing spot" Sara told me as we walked across a bridge and jumped a few stones to get to a rock that was at the center of the waterfall. "I love coming here. Its so peaceful"

"Hey Sara? I want to check my stats. Do you know how I can?" She looked at me with curiosity .

"Sure. There is a way. We can go back and use the crystal ball and my grandfather will tell yo-"

"No. I don't want master to know yet." I cut her off.

"Well there's a spell that you're born with that lets you see your stats, but I don't think you should try it because your mana is still low." As soon as she said that, I felt my consciousness start to fade once again.

Sara's POV

Kuta. This boy I saw fall from the sky. When he fell, I thought I saw wings. When I found him, he was unconscious and surrounded in black feathers. I brought him to the waterfall after his training.

"I want to look at my stats without master knowing." Kuta said to me

"I don't think you should try the spell." Kuta the fainted. He fell from the rock at the top of the waterfall and into the water below.

"KUTA!" I screamed as I tried to reach and grab him. I was too late...

When I looked over the ledge to look for him, I seen had washed up onto the land. Along the bank there was a den of demon wolves. The pack had come out and were slowly approaching Kuta body...
