Zachary's eyes fluttered awake at the surprised brightness of his usually dark room. He sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes shocked at the scene before him. His room had been stripped of everything he called his and stuffed into a box by the door labeled 'Zach's things'.
Stumbling out of bed he wanders downstairs "Mom..? Mom where are you?!" He yells groggily as she appears from around the corner with a fresh plate of bacon and eggs.
"I figured you'd wake up soon. I got your breakfast ready, bags packed and we can leave soon." She says happily kissing his cheek softly before bouncing away.
"Leave? Leave where?" Zachary ask still tired gnawing on a piece of bacon.
"Well, after last night and the last few weeks I decided we need a fresh start. We are moving to Ross, Tx! Your Uncle Tom had a vacant place he said we could have."
Tears welled in Zachary's eyes as he swallowed a forkful of eggs. To think of him leaving the only thing he has remotely close to the father he slaughtered tore him to pieces. His breath started quickening and he felt light headed.
"Zachary.. Zach?!" His mom yelled as his vision slowly started blacking out.
