Chapter 10
*UNEDITED*
I’m so sorry about the delayed update. I’m not going to keep you long from the story, just have one question!
DO YOU WANT THE MATING SCENE?
*
Ella woke up feeling refreshed and happy. Events of the night before came rushing back to her, making her smile. After the party, Parker had been a real gentleman and walked her to her room before kissing her goodnight. Ella could see the desire in his eyes but Parker assured her that he would wait an eternity if he had to.
With a spring in her step, Ella started getting ready for the day. She took her sweet time while showering before drying her damp hair and dressing in a fitted baby pink dress and heels. After styling her hair in a braid, she went downstairs for breakfast.
“Good morning.” She greeted Xander, kissing him on his cheek.
“Good morning, El. Hungry?” He asked, handing her a plate.
“I’m starving! Where is everyone?” Ella asked, looking at the almost empty dining room.
“In case you haven’t noticed, it’s almost ten. Normal people have breakfast much earlier.” He chuckled. Ella swiftly punched his arm making him groan. She then skipped happily to the table and helped herself to pancakes, bacon and sausages.
“Cam and Kevin have already had breakfast and are in their suite. Cher just went up to look after Angie, who by the way, has been in a much better mood since you came back.” Xander smiled.
“I’m glad. I really missed her too, you know. Where’s Parker?” She asked, feigning nonchalance. Xander choked on his coffee as he laughed.
“I’m surprised you got this far into the conversation without mentioning him.” Xander explained, his eyes dancing with amusement.
“Oh, shut up.” Ella replied, her cheeks reddening.
“He’s in his study.” Xander told her and watched bemused as his sister’s eyes lit up at the mention of her mate.
“Why don’t you take some breakfast for him too? I don’t think he’s had anything and I’m about to leave anyway.” Xander finally suggested. He could see that Ella wanted to go to Parker and was only holding herself back for his sake. Xander loved his sister for her thoughtfulness but wanted her to be happy.
“Are you sure?” Ella inquired reluctantly.
“Of course!” Xander laughed and nudged her n the direction of Parker’s room.
Ella practically ran towards Parker’s study and knocked twice.
“Come in.” Parker’s deep, rich, baritone came from the other side.
“El, I can smell you from a mile away; you hardly have to knock!” Parker chuckled and opened his arms for her.
Gladly accepting his very tempting invitation, she sat herself in his lap comfortably.
“I was just being polite.” She stated haughtily, wrapping her arms around his neck.
How she’d missed his earthy scent and enchanting blue eyes! Ella rubbed their noses before skimming her own across his rough cheek and throat.
Parker’s hold on her hips tightened; her skilful nose wrecking havoc to his senses.
Last night, he wanted nothing more than to trap her in his arms forever, but he knew that wasn’t the way to earn her trust. He wanted to give his sweet mate time. He was truly willing to wait as long as she needed.
