She sat there nicely
without saying a word to me
I liked that.
I guess I thought that I could be ignored
I guess I thought that she wouldn't notice
But she did.
I stared,
I don't think she noticed,
I thought maybe she wouldn't.
I talked to Jack,
One of my friends
He sits near her, too.
Where I'm sitting,
You have a perfect view of the room,
You can see everything, and everyone.
I thought she didn't notice me,
And I thought that for a while,
But she did, and does now.
Maybe if she'd say something to me,
I wouldn't be so nervous.
But,
I guess I'll be nervous for a while
'Cause I'm not moving seats.
