a/n if any of you are confused, dan has major trust issues which causes him to compulsively lie because that's how he copes with it. sometimes it might get out of hand but he just can't do anything about it, it's not like he doesn't want to fix his lie it's just that he doesn't think it's a big issue until it's too late.
