Chapter 1:
"Bianca wake upppp" Kiran called from downstairs. "Whatever 'dad'". Bianca jumped down from her bunk bed, waking up her roommates "Dude! What was that for?!" Nadia yells shooting up from bed". "Huh-OW!" Gabby sat up fast and hit her head on the top of the bunk bed. "Sorry guysss" Bianca says before running down "Taco Tuesday remember?". Megan rolls her eyes and goes back to sleep. "Wake up lah you. You want me to slap you with the fish again ah?" Nadia says "IM AWAKE"
As Bianca goes down she only sees half of her unbiological family at the table "Where's the rest?" Bianca asks "It's reaping day. They're trying to escape again" Bianca rolls her eyes and sits down to eat her taco. As soon as she sits, Shyanne, Glenys, Trisha, Sherine and NatSoo start giggling, "What?" "Nothingggg". Kim, Belle and Naqib come back covered in dirt. "Ok you have 1 minute to explain what happened." the 'mum' of the group, Maxine says. "Tried to escape, failed", "Fell down the hill and tried to stand up, failed", "Tried to stop rolling by falling into the mud pit, success". Maxine slaps them with the wooden spoon in her hand before telling them to clean up. Bianca tries to stand up but fails when the chair comes along. Shyanne and the rest start laughing as Bianca examines her butt. "Glue?! Really?!?!" She groans and walks to the toilet. Suddenly Elaine and Claire come running in "Guys. NatYu and Mei have been brought to the Capitol…" "WHAT?!" Exactly after that, the radio turns on "Reaping will start in 1 hour". Everyone crowds around Elaine and Claire "what happened?" "NatYu and Mei were caught by the guards. Now they are being punished… They are the ones who are gonna be reaped…" Everyone stares.
