Chapter One

Hello everyone. This sequel is finally here. I'm sorry for the long wait. I hope you enjoy it and apologize if there are grammar mistakes

Recap:
Luke and Bridget became step siblings after their parents got married. Luke has made it very clear that he's felt some way for Bridget for a very long time. He even had her do some inappropriate things because he like the idea of being in control. Soon enough he asks for Bri's hand in marriage and she declined. Luke leaves and soon after Bridget moves to where he was California after their parents died. She told Luke the bad news and soon enough the picked off where they left off but having a normal relationship. That doesn't work because of many complicated problems that leads Bridget to finding out Luke is a mafia leader. She leaves him, ready to start a new life

I was living off of nothing. I hated it. It has only been a couple of weeks since I left Luke's house. Since I found out that he was some type of mafia leader. How could you keep that from someone you "love"? It's your profession, you don't just forget that. It didn't help that he never really denied killing people. Now I was just driving myself crazy wondering when he would show up and take me away. I was practically losing my mind.

It was raining and I laid in the back across the seats. It wasn't comfortable but I got use to it. The rain hitting the ground, hitting my car was like a song before bed. I loved the rain, it meant I fell asleep faster without having to think about the next day.

KNOCK, KNOCK, knock, knock. I hear against the window. It was hard to see who it was so I had to roll down my window

" Yes officer" I said once the man face was in view

" Miss, you can't park your car here or it has to be toiled" he said pointing his stick around

" Of course sir, sulking me" I said climbing over to the steering wheel

" Theirs a shelter about five blocks away from here. No matter what time they accept people" I shock my head and rolled my window up when he got back to his car. I pulled out of the parking lot and went back down the road. I wasn't gonna drive to no shelter. I don't need no ones help to succeed

I just needed to find another spot to park my car without no problem so I could get a good night sleep

Present

I looked at myself through my full length mirror. I wore a white blouse with a black pencil skirt and pumps. I pulled my natural curly hair into a tight bun and had no make up on.

Once I was satisfied with my look I left my room and went downstairs.

" Charlie, Charlie come eat" I said and soon he ran into the kitchen. I filled his bowl with water and dog food which he happily enjoyed

" Where have you been? We're you hiding from me again? Playing hide and seek huh?" I asked scratching behind his ear

I got Charlie a few days after I moved into this house. I felt lonely and he is a good friend that has been keeping me company

" You seem to like the food a lot Char, I will make sure to buy you more" I said which he responded with a bark.

I soon ate my breakfast while Charlie was now playing with his toys. I was looking through many of my emails. Not many interesting things. Some emails from work or subscription from companies sending me packages

" Ok Charlie I'm leaving. Be a good boy. I may be home late but I set up extra food for you. You already know what time to eat. I'll check up on you through the security cameras" I said giving him a hug on my way out. I always set dishes for him because I'm never home to feed him besides the morning. He's train though, so he already knows when to eat those dishes and he knows not to get more food from the bag. I get in my car and drive to work.

My job wasn't exciting. I was many of the other boring people who worked a desk job. My work had many stations and the station I worked in was business. I was on the top floor which also had the presidents or the company's owner office. I've never actually seen him but I knew his last name was Reed. The company was called Reed Co.

I got to work and as usual I greeted people who never greeted me back. I sat down and began to get my work down. I didn't know what I try so hard to please those around me. I shouldn't greet or dress up for work yet I still do. I'm trying to change my life around and I have been doing that. Doing this just became second nature to me

When my computer finally opened up to my desktop my work began

And with that I was done. We held a big meeting about our sales this past month. Our station has been doing really well. I packed my stuff, exited the building and entered my car. I was ready to head home

" Bridget your still here?" I hear someone ask me and I turn around to the source

" Oh Mr. Smith, your here as well" I say once in front of him

" Right of course. Why are you leaving so late" Mr. Smith is one of my coworkers. We only spoke a few times, so I'm surprised that he remembers my name

" I had papers that I needed to finish, how about you?"

" I just was out of it today so I just worked at a slow pace"

" Do you want to grab a drink?" He asked. I told him no that I just wanted to go home. He accepted and I got in my car

" I'm sorry Charlie I came later then I thought. It look like you have been a very good boy. Come on let's get ready for bed" I said

Soon enough we were both in bed. I under my covers and Charlie at the front of my bed. He would stay there but later on in the night he possibly wake up and go to his own bed that's next to mine on the floor like he usually does

" Night Charlie" I say. I was nearly about to drift off to sleep but then I get a phone call

Omg it's finally here. I promised this sequel months ago but since I'm finally free here it is. I'm sorry if there were any grammar mistakes or anything felt odd.
