MALAEYA SIGHED ONCE THE black SUV stopped in a garage. She knew exactly where they were and she wasn't happy in the slightest. The Windy City wasn't a place Malaeya favoured herself with and she wasn't going to like it anytime soon.

"Welcome to Chicago, Stefan." Klaus announced as he stepped out of the car with the Salvatore and his sister following behind.

"What are we doing here?" Stefan asked him.

Klaus opened a door in front of them while Malaeya took her time to look around. "I know how much you loved it here. Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days?" He smirked again before admiring the view of the Chicago buildings and lights.

"Blacked out most of them. Lot of blood, lot of partying. The details are all a blur." Stefan sighed as he forced his memories to stay hidden in the safe box that he kept locked and secured.

"Well, that is a crying shame," Klaus stated as Malaeya stood in the middle of the two men. "The details are what makes it legend," he carried on. "Word was the Ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition. Everything was off limits then, which made everything so much fun."

Malaeya's eyes glazed over as she remembered her own time in the Windy City. "Chicago was magical apparently." She scoffed at the thought of it, her precious time here being less than magical.

Stefan nodded slightly, still looking at the over-lit city. "Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it."

"Going to get down to business then?"

Stefan looked at him with a confused expression. "Why am I still with you? We had our fun, your hybrid's failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?"

"We're going to see my favourite witch," Klaus admitted making Malaeya groan. "Keep the groans to a minimum please sister. If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem, it's her." He declared sternly, causing Malaeya to glare at her brother.

"Oh I get it Nik, she's the only witch that tolerates you," Malaeya rolled her eyes. "But have you forgotten what she did to me all those years ago? Or is your selfish need to make your hybrid's more important than your own sister?"

She couldn't stop herself even if she tried. Malaeya knew what she was saying was the absolute wrong thing to say to Klaus. Her mind was screaming at her for being reckless. And the look on her brothers face said it all to the point she froze and immediately cowered.

Fear started to infiltrate her body after realising what she had done. She had said enough or at least way too much.

Klaus tensed his jaw as he glared at Malaeya. Stefan was currently looking elsewhere, feeling the tension rise so fast it was giving him whiplash. The Salvatore could see the fear in Malaeya, him already knowing she's one hundred percent scared of her brother.

Stefan pursed his lips. "We should go." He lifted his head to the side, gesturing to the car but Klaus blatantly ignored him.

"You dare defy me?" Klaus spoke quietly which made Malaeya shiver. He blurred in front of her, making her flinch. "Question me?!" He yelled at her, Malaeya closing her eyes as tears slid down her cheeks.
