Sooyoung woke up, feeling irritated. "Good morning." a bright voice could be heard after she answered the phone. She looks at the caller and realized it was Daniel. "It is only 7 in the morning. Why are you calling me so early?"
"I just want to ask you whether you can come out later to study together? Since we don't have any lesson today," he asks. "Sure, just text me later. However, I need to leave by 7 pm."
"Okay, I will pick you up at 11? Afterward, we can have lunch together at your favorite place." She agreed and hung up.
She set her alarm at 10 am and went back to sleep.
But, she couldn't sleep.
All she could think was about the dinner.
"Sooyoung-a," Jaebum called out to her before she heads to her house. "Yeah?"
"My parents want to invite you and your family for dinner after they heard you are back in town," he said. "So, would you come tomorrow?"
"I will inform my parents about it," she said. "Goodnight, it was great talking to you again." and went into her house.
"Me too," he mumbles and left.
"Whose that?" her mother asked. "Jaebum. His parents ask us to have dinner at his place tomorrow," Sooyoung said. "Sure," she said and disappear into the kitchen.
All Sooyoung could think is about the dinner she is going to have with Jaebum and his family.

"Hello." Daniel greeted her as he stood in front of her. "Hey." she greeted back and walk beside him. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah."
"Can I go with you? The dinner you are going have later in the evening." Daniel ask. "I am sorry that you can't join us," she said. "But, you are welcome to join us for dinner anytime you want, just not today." she continues as she saw his expression turns.
Daniel smiles and continues walking to the cafe where they will be studying.
Both of them have been focusing on their work, till Daniel takes a break. "Can I ask you a question?"
Sooyoung waits for his question. "What is Jaebum to you and what am I to you?"
Sooyoung was taken back by his question but answer him anyway. "You are my friend and always my friend. Jaebum and I have known have known each other since I was little. We have a very close relationship."
Daniel asked, "Closer than me?"
"Yes, closer than us," she said.
Daniel's expression has changed. "I see." he mumble, "Have you guys dated?"
"We are actually close to dating but I moved to the USA before he could ask me," she explains.
"Let's go, I send you home since you had dinner later. You need to get ready." he starts packing his things.
"Is he going to hate on me and Jaebum?" Sooyoung thinks.

Later in the evening,
"You are here." Mrs. Im welcome them. "Long time no see." Mr. Im said as he gives Mr. Park a hug. "Long time no see,"
"Jaebum-a! Sooyoung and her parents have arrived." Mrs. Im shouted. "He had been in his room for hours. Maybe he is preparing himself so he can look good in front of you," she said.
"I did not." her son protested as he makes his way towards Sooyoung. "Sure you didn't." his mother tease him.
"Come, let's take a seat and let's wait for dinner to be served." Mr. Im said. "Let's have some wine."
"You can't drink," Jaebum said, stopping her from receiving the drink for his father. His father laughs at him which make Jaebum glare at him slightly.
Sooyoung laughs lightly at Jaebum's reaction towards her drinking. "It is okay for me to drink, I will only drink a little."
Dinner went on with laughter and lots of catch up. Only Jaebum and Sooyoung were quietly facing each other as if their soul is talking to each other.
"Guys, make yourself comfortable, just like you are in your own home." Mrs. Im said. "You don't need to look at each other like that."
Both of them were blushing and excuse themselves to the living room.
"I am sorry."
Sooyoung looks at Jaebum who just apologize to her out of blue. "You did nothing wrong," she said.
"I wanted to apologize for something in the past. I shouldn't have left you with Yebin and Minji alone. If I didn't leave you alone, you will still be in Korea and we may date." he mumbles the last sentence.
"It's alright. What happened in the past is the past now. Let's not think about it anymore." she reassures him. None of them talk afterward.
The doorbell rang. "I will get it." Jaebum stood up.
Sooyoung flinches at the voice of the girl. "What the hell! Get off me, Jess." Jaebum said.
"Jess? who is she?" Sooyoung asks herself as she waits for the guest to introduce herself to her.
"Hi, uncle and auntie." the girl greets Mrs. and Mr. Im.
"Hi, Jess."
"She was my neighbor in the past," Jaebum explains to Sooyoung. She just looks at him, "Why are you explaining to me?"
Before he went to the dining room, "I think I sense jealousy."
"Who says I am jealous?" she said as she glares at Jaebum who is smirking at her.
"I didn't say who but don't worry, I only have eyes for you." he winks and disappear into the dining room.
Sooyoung blush at his statement.

"What is the relationship between both of them?"
"Are they a couple?"he thinks.
He picked up his phone and start texting Sooyoung.
Daniel: what are you doing?
A minute later, he received a message back.
Sooyoung <3: I am still at Jaebum's house. Going back soon
Daniel: I see. Rest well
Sooyoung <3: I will, you too
Daniel: I will pick you tomorrow, we will have lunch before going to class
Sooyoung <3: sure
Daniel places his phone beside him after his conversation with Sooyoung. "Jaebum is a threat," he said it to himself. "He is coming in between Sooyoung and me."
"I won't let this happen." he clutched his hand together.
