chapter 3

(Cue the emperor arrives theme)

The Chimaera dropped out of hyperspace along with a sizeable fleet above the New Republic's capital world. From the hangar bay of The Chimaera, a shuttle followed by two fighters flew down and headed for the planets surface. The shuttle came down to the Senate building where it landed on a landing pad. The ramp lowed and Thrawn walked down, followed by two elite guards. They were met by Luke and Kanan at the entrance who then walked together to the Chancellors office. Inside, Leia sat at her chair. The group walked in and Thrawn sat down. Leia then spoke

"Thrawn, what brings you here"

Thrawn looked at the room and then spoke

"I have come here because the threat of the Yul is far greater then one may handle. And with the Mandalorian's unwillingness to help, I have decided that the best course of action is to help you remove them and then ask for your help against the Yul Empire"

Luke stood up and then spoke

"Why do you not do it yourself, one of your fleets took out a Mandalorian fleet, surely you could stand firm against the Yul"

Thrawn cleared his throat.

"I know more about the Yul then you do, they are not easy to fight, they are far more deadly then the foes you would have faced. Do you know why the threat that the empire was built up for never arrived"

Luke looked at Thrawn and Kanan spoke up

"Why"

Thrawn narrowed his eyes and spoke

"Because. They entered Yul Empire space, and once you enter their space, nothing ever leaves it alive unless the Yul are defeated. These invaders were wiped out due to the sheer size and firepower that the Yul navy could bear upon them, and with that, they give their God of destruction, Omicronus power and strength. They have wiped out the imperial forces that refused to come with me already, and they have moved throughout the Unknown Regions, gaining worlds and power, and feeding the gateway to the shadow realm. They have wiped out worlds and many other kinds of races and empires with little to no effort at times, the only ones to keep away from them were my kind and those in this galaxy"

The room was silent, none had ever heard of such a race capable of such destruction. Even the power of the darkside was nothing compared to what the Yul could bring upon the galaxy.

Leia then spoke

"What was the name of these invaders that they wiped out"

Thrawn looked at the window and spoke

"Yu Zan Vong, a race from another galaxy"

Thrawn then turned back and spoke

"Shall we get onto the removing the threat of the Mandalorian's then, or shall I leave you lot to do it yourselves"

Kanan started walking out the door and spoke

"Let's get to it. But I fear this isn't going to go well"

(Cue the supremacy theme)

A Mandalorian fleet dropped out of hyperspace above the New Republic's capital world. Behind it, The Devastation sits.

The New Republic fleet looked at Ezra's flagship and the lead admiral spoke

"By the force, what is that"

Thrawn was fast to get his forces into battle position

"All ships, move into attack formation, fighters are clear to launch. I want us to deal with this Mandalorian threat fast"

Thrawn then turned and walked over to the holotable where Leia, Kanan and Luke were standing

"What is that ship"

"Look at it's size, how did they build it without us knowing"

"I don't know, but we have to deal with it fast"

Thrawn then spoke up

"That must be their flagship. Officer the readings off it"

(Cue Anakin's betrayal theme)

Thrawn took one look at the readings and then spoke up, what he said next was not what the others wanted to hear

"It is a mobile fortress, nothing may be able to get in, but a small strike force of fighters should do the trick"

"Sir, the ship has a number of point defence weapon emplacements and batteries all across the hull"

Thrawn took a look at the ship and then spoke up

"Get me a capital ship, I have an idea"
