"Randhir, come let's go." Renuka pulled him with her.
"No, first buy me that candy. Please, mom, I want it. Please, please." He cribbed gripping his mother's legs.
"Randhir! No, we had just come from visiting the dentist." She straight away declined his request.
"Please mom, I'll be a good boy. I promise." Randhir pouted fluttering his eyes making her melt at the cute sight of her son.
"Restrict him from having candies and sweets for a few weeks." She recalled the dentist's advice.
"No means No! Don't you know what doctor told you? Otherwise, your all teeth will fall and you will look like oldie in such a young age. No girl will marry you also." She tried to scare him.
In the same shopping mall. Sanyukta and her parents were present. She was watching those two duos very intently. She could not really hear their voices.
"Sanyukta, Come." Her father called her but she didn't pay any heed to it.
He came to her and watched in the direction she was looking. He kneeled in front of her.
"See, how's that boy is being stubborn to buy that candy. He had just visited the dentist and doctor had told them if he will have extra sweets then his teeth will fall. You also eat a lot of candies. Do you also want your teeth to fall?" He asked her.
She immediately grabbed his hand shaking her head in a big No.
"No, dad. I'll not eat sweets from now on. I'll take care of my teeth. His mom said if his teeth fell no girl will marry him. I don't want the same." She chipped innocently making him smile at her actual worry.
"Right. I know, you will be a good girl." He patted her cheek.

"I won't talk to you. Katti..." Randhir wailed and ran towards the exit.
Renuka widened her orbs and ran after him to catch him.
Sanyukta saw him running and observed something fell from his pocket.
She quietly freed her hand from his Dad's grip and walked towards that thing and picked it up.
She cleaned it and saw it's a cute picture of Randhir.

"Sanyukta, what are you doing there? Come here!" Her mother called her back.
"Coming!"
She looked around to see if somebody was watching her as if she was stealing something and she immediately slipped the picture inside her pocket and grinned.

After reaching home she hid the photograph in her wallet secretly.

Time flew away, she was twenty-four years old now but she still possessed that photo. She changed many wallets but the one thing that was constant was the photograph. The irony was no one ever came to know about it not even her best friend. She never felt like disclosing it to anyone.
Right now, she was beautifully dressed in a red churidar suit. Today, a family was visiting her for fixing the marriage.

She was sitting on the bed alone admiring the picture, thinking if he still cribs for the candies? She remembered the incident and giggled how he was buttering her mom to buy that candy.
"You would be old enough! I wonder how do you look now? I wish I could have met you once. I don't even know your name." She was talking with the photo.
"You know one boy is coming today to see me. I don't know anything about him. I wish you could have been there instead of that stranger." She huffed and kissed the picture.
Sanyukta tried to find him. She visited the store frequently hoping she might bump into his mother or him. But then she realised at that time her whole concentration was on him only not his mother. The memory of his mother eventually faded away. She might not recognise her now and not even him. He would have been grown up man.
"Sanyukta!" The door clicked open and mother came inside.
She instantly hid the picture under her pillow.
"Let's go. They are waiting downstairs." She smiled and Sanyukta nodded.
"Don't worry! The boy is very good and successful. You might like him. You know right, we will not force you if you don't want to marry him. You can freely say a NO. But we really want you to give him a chance. Will you try?" Her mother caressed her cheek.
"Yes, Mom. Let me meet him." Sanyukta smiled genuinely.
