"So," Alex stared at the sheet of paper. "James and Sarah need to practice the start of the dance routine together. It's gonna basically show the development of their relationship and how she and River went missing."

River looked a bit skeptical, "I can't dance."

"Well, I'm sure you'll be fine," she said, a little more flirtatiously than River had hoped.

"I can't dance." he repeated, blushing slightly.

"Oh grow up." Sarah glared at him,and then she turned to Alex. "What starting position?"

"On that black box, back to back."

"Lovely." Sarah grumbled, and she swear she heard Peter snort.

The start of dance routine was pretty straight forward, and they both mastered it. Until, River and Alex had to make an enterance.

River was awkward. There's no denying it. He's just built that way. The biggest problem for him was Alex. Alex and all her looks. Stupid looks. That's all River needed to completely mess up walking into the centre of the stage.

Being an eighteen year old wasn't easy.

"River," Alex looked serious. "You need to stop doing that."

"Sorry," he mumbled, not meeting her eye. "I-I can't help it...."

Alex sighed heavily, and slapped the script on her forehead in fustration, "You and I are gonna have to meet up this weekend."

He perked up then.

"Are you free?" she continued. "I can do Saturday at anytime really. It's what suits you. Your place or mine?"

"Your place," he replied. "Will midday work for you?"

Alex nodded, and winked at him before turning to James.

River ran straight up to Ty and Sarah to rant, and Ty was fully aware of his coming. She deliberately chose not to tell Sarah. For the wind up.

"Guys!" he squeaked. "I'm going to her house!"

"Her house indeed." Sarah didn't look up, and ran her finger in circles on top of the black box.

"What's up now?" he cried.

"Nothing's up." Sarah held his gaze, emotionless. "I'm just a bit stressed. That's all."

"Stress about James, isn't it?"

"Well, what am I supposed to do?"

"You don't love him at all, do you?" Ty mumbled softly.

"No." and at that her face became relieved.

River frowned, and made a mental note to bring it up later.

Across the room sat James and Peter. They were crossed legged on the floor, and Peter wasn't speaking at all, only looking down at his lines.

"Do you think she likes me at all?" James asked, watching Sarah's every move.

"I've got no idea." Peter shrugged. "Does it matter? You know typical high school crushes. You like them for a bit and then you don't. Who knows? She might not even be the one for you."

James nodded, biting the inside of his mouth, curls falling into his eyes.

"She seems pretty upset, ya know?" Peter pointed out.

"She does," James admitted. "I thought she might enjoy the club. Obviously not."

"Oh, don't be like that," he scolded. "Look, she might not be the one. We're still in school! Eighteen is not the right time to be looking for someone. Wait for them to come round."

"Oh yeah?" he snorted. "You told me yesterday you liked someone. Who is it, huh?"

"That's for me to know and you to find out."

"You're really doing this."

"All the better to keep on your good side."
