The door swung open and revealed Nick running right into ny room and jumping on my face.

Me: OWWW ! NICKY ! GET! OFF !

Nick jumped off giggling like the little three year old he was.

Nick: Wake Up Wexi !! Its Bacon day ! Daddy said get up awedy!

Me: Alright! Alright! I'm up! Jeez..

Nick: Now huwee down for bweakfast.

Then Nick ran out the room with quick little feet.

Dad had this custom when he'd stay here after tours and stuff. It was to cook nice, homemade bacon. He made it really good, too. Just like gran and gramps.

I went and washed my face and brushed my teeth and did my hair. I didn't shower since I already did that last night. Afterwards I ran downstairs to the beautiful aroma of delectable bacon and finding plates loaded with that amazing Bacon of Heaven sided with flawless eggs, cooked to perfection. It was enough to make me forget all the drama... For now.

The boys sat at the table, silently eating their breakfast. Each had something on their mind.

Keisha: Ok, guys. It really isn't as big of a deal as I made it seem to get the lead role. Theyre gonna say "Starring MINDLESS BEHAVIOR" anyways, so you're all be the main roles. It's fine. You don't need to worry that much about it.

Roc: Honestly, I think Prod got it. I mean honestly, this guy's made for lead!

Prod: Nawhh, man. I failed that audition. It HAS to be Ray. He'd be perfect, I mean-

Ray: No. Just no. I flunked that so bad they probably regretted auditioning me. It must be Prince.

They all looked to Prince but he was dazed away. He was paying no attention to their conversation.

Prince: Huh?

Roc: Ray was saying you probably got the part.

Prince: Oh no. No way. I did HORRIBLE.

Keisha: Guys! I saw the tapes, you all did great. And the whole it being a love thing helped out since each of you had a little romance this summer.

They all looked to Prince.

Keisha: Well, almost all of you.

Prince: Hey, who said I didn't have a little summer romance?

Keisha: Hey, I mean, yeah sure, crushes count ..-

Prince: No, actually, I was talking about GETTING a girl.

Roc: Oh really, and who might that be?

Everyone was staring at Prince waiting for a response.

Prince: Nina.

Ray: Nina?! You got Nina Montez?!

Prince: I mean, not officially but we made out a little while you left and...

Keisha: Wow. I really actually didn't see that coming!

Prod: Well then who'd you mean when you said 'his crushes'?

Keisha: I know Prince, guys.

Prince: Uh, wha?

Keisha: Prince, don't act dumb. I know who it is..

Prince: Uh, Keisha. I don't like anybody right now, except, as I said, my "crush" on Nina.

Keisha: Mm.. Mkay.

Nick came running back into the kitchen holding my phone.

Nick: Im sorry, Lexi! I wanted to play Temple Run and something came up and I don't know.. Sorry.

I looked at my phone. It was just alerting me that I had a new message. I gave Nick and kiss on the cheek.

Me: Its ok, Nicky. It's just a message.

Nick: Pheww!

I started to giggle. Nick is so silly. He ran over to the plates of bacon and grabbed a bunch of slices. He tried to run away with them upstairs, but my dad caught him and grabbed him and started tickling him. I laughed at the pair. When I looked down at my phone, the notification was blinking reminding me to check my message. I clicked on it.

One unread message from Princeton.

OOOOHHHHHHHH !

I remembered he wanted to ask me a question. I got really curious and impatient when the phone turned black and went to the "loading" page.

Finally, it opened and I opened the text.

Princeton: do you happen to keep a journal?

My eyes widen and I quickly began typing a reply.

Me: Yeah but I lost it nd can't find it ! U knoe where it is ?

I put the phone down and took another slice of bacon. Soon enough, Prince replied.

Prince: Yeah I think I have urs. Is it green with blue stripes?

Me: Yeah. Same as urs.

Prince: Mhmm. Yeah, I think we traded by mistake.

Me: Ahahaha, yeah. But how'd you know it was mine?

Prince: Ah, yeah sorry about that. I kinda read through to try and figure out who's it was.. Sorry if that disturbed ur privacy or anything.

Me: No, no, its fine, really. I actually did the same thing. Sorry. But ur poetry is very nice and sweet(:

Prince: Oh. So u know.... ._.

Me: Yeah.

I didn't get a reply until a few minutes later and it said.

Prince: Lexi, I'm sorry if you thought it was creepy or stupid or just plain wrong. Ok? But I've been feeling that way about you for a while now, but knowing your feelings for Roc and everything else going on, I didn't wanna cause more drama. I'm sorry if I just did. And reading those things you wrote about Roc makes me feel even worse about it because I really don't wanna be the problem in this. I really don't. I just want to be as amazing a friend as you've been to me. Maybe even more. But if more isn't possible, I'm okay with being just friends or best friends with you. It's all your decision. I just seek your happiness.

My eyes began to tear up reading this. I can't believe this entire time I didn't notice Prince. And now he's gone. But what made me cry more was the fact that...

I don't feel the same way.
