Katie had woken up to the sound of her alarm letting her know that she had to get ready for work.

She loved working at the diner whenever she felt like things were getting too much she'd call in and ask for a shift and just get back to her roots.

Her favorite part was getting to sing everything and anything. Today was Thursday and once a month they do throwback Thursday's where the staff dresses up from any era and they just sing old songs.

Doing this always made Katie feel at home. She never wanted to feel like she was too big to work there.

Her phone began to ring
"Henderson hotline, this is katie speaking. How may I assist you today?"
"Well charlie and I were wondering if you wanted to hang out today?"

Katie tried to think of an excuse so she wouldn't have to tell them that she had to work. That was the last thing she wanted was the cast thinking she wasn't happy with her job and wanted more money or worse that they wanted to come to her work.

"Uh I actually can't uh I have this thing today it's really important."
"Oh that's okay! Maybe later when you're done?"
"Yeah I should be done around 4:30, maybe 5 at the latest."
"Alright, we'll text you and see what you're doing."
"Okay well I gotta go! I'll talk to you guys later. Love you nat."
"Love you."

Katie hung up and went downstairs to leave.
She had thought she was off the hook but what she didn't know was that all of the stranger Things cast was going to meet her at work today.
