They were hot on his trail and he knew it. Every mistake he has been making in each crime scene he left behind has finally came back to haunt him in the worst possible manner. He knew for a fact that getting caught now would mean the death penalty. Yes, there was no doubt in his mind if he were to get caught that would be the case. But was it really his fault? Was it his fault that he found a guilty pleasure in taking peoples' lives. It was the only way he could calm his nerves after all the stress he ends up facing during the day. He tried talking to therapist on his own time since officials don't have facial recognition of him yet. Although the therapists did their best no method help managed his stress levels. That was until the day he met her. He envied her. He wished to be her. Not physically but emotionally and mentally. She was happy and stress free. She looked to still be in her youth but she was married and had a child that was a young adult. He was tempted to steal her happiness but didn't know how or if it was even possible so he killed her to prevent her from ever experiencing the sensation of being happy. Instantly the guilt build up within his conscious. Instead of finding the comfort he needed at the time all he was surrounded by was the public and news anchors saying cruel and offensive things about him. They didn't even know who did the crime and the public is already are making assumptions. This effected the man's mental health immediately his stress levels sky rocked and he was currently unstable to do anything. He suffered from constant headaches to his blood pressure rising and ends up having what is called an 'adrenaline rush' from his heart beating quickly this happened constantly after work as he kept overthinking the situation. At last he snapped. Darkness finally engulfed him into an endless pool of stress and guilt. An thus a monster was finally born.

The rain was falling heavily onto his clothes making him go slower than usual because of the extra weight from his clothes soaking up the rain. His vision was becoming distorted due to his hair falling in front of his eyes. The man knew he had no time to waste since he needed to escape. But the question was as to how he was going to do it. He made turns with every chance he found available to throw the police off his trail but this strategy seemed to fail at the moment. He had no one he could rely on to save him. He could only depend on himself. Although he tried to come up with a plan his own mind was failing him due to the anxiety levels he was experiencing at the moment. He just had to pull himself together but how? He turned back to look at what he was currently dealing with. Three cop cars and one motorcycle officer. The man cursed under his breath. He made a turn to a closed up space that would prevent cars from fiting in. Bingo he thought as he lost some of the police force that was on his trail. Since the motorcycle officer was left the man put all his efforts into deceiving him into making a wrong turn. All the twists and turns he made predicted his future and unfortunatly he made a fatal turn as it was a dead end. The motorcyclist closed up on him and there was no escape. Well as far as he knew due to not being aware of his surroundings. This was the end he thought. The motorcyclist got off the motorcycle and took off his helmet and his identity was revealed. Instantly the masked man knew who he was and his senses came back to him. The criminal's confidence grew back and he smirked now that he was more relaxed. This caught the detective off guard but continued to speak. As the detective now spoke the criminal got familiar with his surroundings and made a run for the ladder that led to the roof top of the hotel. He climbed it as fast as he could with the detective in his pursuit. He reached the top of the roof and started running towards the edge. The officer was shocked because either the criminal was about to commit suicide or he was gonna try to jump for the next roof top and due to the current situations one fatal land and he could still fall to his death. The detective tried to talk the criminal out of this situation since the stakes were life and death and surprisingly the criminal stopped but at the very edge of the roof. The masked man glanced back at the detective.

"Are you really going to speak to me as you value my life?" The man spoke in 3 octaves lower to prevent the detective to get vocal recognition for future references. This stunned the detective that the criminal actually replied to him.

"We in law enforcement value all lives," The detective spoke. This caused the bitter criminal to laugh.

"And you expect me to believe that!" The criminal screamed with sarcasm in his tone.

"I know its hard to believe but-"

"But what! That if I turn myself in right now I will only get a life sentence," he spoke before laughing even more, "Yeah right! People like me get death penalties officer." He said mocking the word 'officer' at the end. The detective was at loss for words.

"After all would you want the criminal that killed your very own mother to walk on this world for another day,  Detective Kyungsoo?" The criminal spoke trying to get the detective angry. The detective clenched his fist. "Yes, you remember it clearly don't you it was all over the news it was even your motive as to why you chose this career path." The criminal finished as he smirked back at the law enforcement graduate.

"I swear I will kill you for that," the detective snapped.

"Go ahead but won't that make you a murder as well," The criminal smarted back "I mean might as well instead of wasting your time protecting everyone just kill them." The criminal spoke. This disgusted the detective that he felt his body tingle.

"I will never turn my back on my morals!" The detective snapped back.

"Believe me detective it gives you such a rush," The criminal spoke seductively, "Here i'll even let you kill me so you can feel the rush I'm talking about." He added as he tossed the detective a pocket knife. The detective caught it and unfolded the knife then looked at the criminal. The criminal was covered from head to toe.  There was nothing he could make out of him other than he was tall. Heres his chance he could kill him and become the hero as well as avenge his mother. As he started walking towards the criminal the criminal pointed to his neck to show the detective where to make the cut. As the detective was making his way towards the criminal his body started shaking and he froze.  It was all just to much for him to kill a human being. The criminal waited patiently knowing the detective wasn't going to do it. The criminal began laughing again and picked up the knife from the detectives hands. They were only inches away so why couldn't the detective grab him then and there.  The criminal walked back to the edge of the roof top

"Your still to weak of a detective to just let your enemy walk away like this," the murder spoke before plummeting to his death. The detective came back to his senses and immediately ran towards the edge of the roof top only to see nobody falling to their death. The detective cursed and announced on the radio to searched the area that is around his current location. The detective made a run for it to the inside of the building due to the harsh rainstorm as well to search the hotel in case the criminal made an entrance into the hotel. The criminal gripped back onto the edge of the building's roof tighter and climbed back onto the roof top. He carefully checked for the detective in the process. It was all cleared and he had saved himself once again. With the help of a balcony railing. He watched down at the police cars as they arrived to the crime scene. He smirked down at them with mischief in his eyes. With that he left by jumping from roof top to roof top till the coast was cleared.  He discarded his clothes to lose description of what the criminal was currently wearing since he always wears clothes underneath. The criminal left a freed man and the detective gained a heavy conscious knowing the criminal he despised the most left his grasp.

So what do you think about the story so far? I am finally back after a long hiatus and unfortunately I am not going to be writing about CNCO anymore 😔.  I found a new passion in Exo and so imma write about them instead.

I hope you like it!
